Correct, the diesel 7 Series are still fetching good money, you can't compare them to a 2002 735i import. Lets not be mistaken they are 730d's which are incredibly economical to run and very environmentally friendly (for those that care) The Govt. are exempt from any import taxes, GST, and would have scored the new units a hell of alot cheaper than someone off the street like Mr & Mrs Tax Payer. IMO this isn't a big deal, they will receive decent money for the old ones which have aprox 50-70km & the reason they need so many is the fact that they have a limited number at Wellington and have the rest at the main centres of NZ. This is so that when Govt. dignitaries are visiting different centres of NZ they have a vehicle available. Remember the Pike river disaster? Key had his 730d on the tarmac as he landed on the west coast to survey the damage.

In my opinion it's mis-leading. Merely pointing this out, if you read my post my father inlaw is in the process of buying a brand new Prado and had a 200 series VX Landcruiser in the picture on the website and on the banner displayed at our local Toyota dealership. Untrained people would perhaps think they are getting a 200 Series as a pose to a 150 series Prado.

SLK 55's although newer I'd have one of those. 5.4 litre V8 in a car that weighs less than a cup of coffee must be alot of fun.
-
Just spoken to BMW here in Dunedin, they're strongly advising I get an EVO manual, not an SMG. He said for daily use they are jerky, and not very user friendly nor refined in the E36. Has anyone here owned one? Can they comment?
-
I had a Boxster and it was great for a drive - yes Westy I'd label it more a fags car than the M3 seing the M3 has the sack to go with the stance
-
Is this the car that is on the yard in Nelson at the moment? It's super mint but I couldn't justify the extra 10k - would rather spend it on piss.
-
It must just be the southerners way I suppose, wasn't intending for it to be a harsh response. Is it because you North Islanders are soft? "p
-
Nope, IMO that response wasn't defensive, difference of opinion maybe, for a daily car how often does someone push their car to the absolute limit?
-
Haha, I'd expect nothing less. M3's aren't fags cars guy, I've always wanted one & I'm married with kid, a mortgage & a business (most fags have apartments and live with their life partners) As for your scuttle shake I doubt I'd have enough skill to push both the convert. and the hardtop to it's maximum potential every day anyhow, to what? achieve 0.3 of a second less by purchasing the hardtop over the convert around the track?
-
IMO it's mis-leading - advertising something then having a picture of something else which is what that clearly is.
-
I've driven the uncles old E60 M5 - does it work the same as this? Should this have paddles behind the steering wheel?
-
Haha, mint. More power = win. So this is an even better deal at 16 slides?
-
That is a nice example, but I think I'd rather have the convertible. Being an 3.2 inline 6 does this mean it's an EVO? The normal E36 M3's are only 3.0?
-
HB Em, don't think she's been around here for a while, shes moved to FaceBook lol.

What do you guys think? Prado with 200 Series on pic... Father inlaw is looking at a new Prado, they have some decent prices on the new VX model. Navigated to that site and has that promotion there but with a 200 Series Landcruiser in the picture!
-
23.6" HDMI Will be able to do it cheaper than the $349 too.

It's an import from Hong Kong, it has the SMG. He's bringing it down on Monday (providing we can get it booked in at BMW) for a checkup, he's advised the last two services have been there so will give them a yell and check it out also.
-
He had 21k, now reduced on this, been for sale for yonks. I've offered him 16k and he's accepted the price subject to an inspection. I haven't asked him yet but I think it has the SMG gearbox which will be one of the early ones, is this a no no? This is also an import or NZ New? I thought it looked a kiwi new unit. Looks an awesome car, but just not quite sure. Might get it in at Cookies BMW for a checkup first. EDIT: I suppose a link would help... Visit My Website

I've had the plate for 11 years or so now, was a leaving present from when I was a butcher and the name has stuck, I guess every personalised plate has a hidden message lol. Has stuck with me.

Thought I'd give it a bit of a wash, but here's some pics of the tow sl_t for the crib.

Like your gaming machine but with 512mb.

Looks tough, but I'm left wondering how much torque those MR2 gearboxes can take!

Not entirely sure about that mate, a good friend of mine has a 2010 Corolla as a work car and can't honestly tell the difference in quality between it and our Kia Rio diesel if an alien came to this earth and didn't know the brands he'd have a hard time trying to figure out what was best, we compared them side by side when we got ours late last year and the steel was just as stiff, the plastic was just as plastic (horrible tinny feel to the touch) the only difference we could come up with is that the Kia's tyre roar was f**ken terrible, this has been fixed with a set of decent bridgestones we just put on it on Tuesday. IMO Korean brands have come 1 million miles compared to 10 years ago especially, I mean I like my high end European brands and 10 years ago if you told me I'd own a Kia I would have committed suicide. We bought the Kia because it's actually quite fun to drive, extremely economical (4.8-5.2l per 100km) and rather powerful for a car of it's size, it completely annihilates the 1.8 litre Corolla off the mark, mid range and top end. You get the distinct feeling you're just paying for the brand when your in the Toyota and for this level of car I just couldn't justify the extra for the Corolla. Just my 2c

Feast your eyes, very sharp pricing for a brand new car, wonder if they're any good?!?! Geely
