Finally got through to my grandfather lastnight who lives in Tuam street he's been living in a flat out the back of his property after all the piles in his house just dissapeared in the September quake and the house was being held up by the walls pretty much, it's now totally destroyed, he was using the house as storage, they opened the door looked inside and just shut the door again due to the mess & destruction. He can't get ahold of a friend of theirs who was in the city at the time. Fingers crossed.

I looked at it a year or two ago and found there wasn't a great deal of benefit for us. A mate of mine owning his own building and plumbing company took it up and he's got several thousand dollars of batercard dollars which nothing to really spend them on. This is no rubbish, but the local strip club here in Dunedin accepts them and he blew $1500 one night on tips and drinks just to get rid of some of them.
