Can't go wrong with one of those, we had one years ago and done some big k's on it with very little issues. I called it the MK 6 Cortina.

When you do do another run I want a single plate "HUT_35" -
They're trying to enter into a market which is already home & hosed by the S Class and the 7 Series. Awesome choice of engines in that VW though.

Yes, Merry Christmas to everyone, apart from Michael.
-
No one here has mentioned spending the 5 on Manchester street and or Kay Road - surely some decent toys can be bought there for 5k per night?
-
Ahahahahahaha - Legend, the businessman of the year - only because I was going to say the same thing - @ a grand with REG/WOF it doesn't really matter what it's like tranny wise.

I've been given the green light from the war office to get an E70. With not being in a rush, I've listed it at $52,500 ONO This is roughly average price of the currently LISTED Facelift X5's between 2004-2006 year - mixed engine types and a minimum of 31km and max of 166km It's been simply the best car I've ever had but with my mileage I do every year I need to keep updating. LISTING

After I got the trade price for mine I didn't even bother proceeding for the test drive ha. Prefer to use my X5 for trials and snorkel it if I had to sell it for 36k.
-
That's unreal. They are relatively un-popular here obviously compared to Germany.
-
He's talking about the pricing on mine haha! I think I got 45k for my 4.6is about 2 years ago but it had 85km on the clock - done a part deal with a E46 320i import.
-
I've spoken to the guy later on yesterday on the side and he's having blues with his bosses there because he believes it will go on the yard for $54999 because one was on the yard for 3 days in CHCH identical with the 18" wheels done 70km for $64999 - no GPS or screen, just standard non-sportpac, didn't even have the towbar he said. He said because there's such a gap between the E53 and the E70 it somehow has to be bridged! He also said because the cars are similar valued it's the biggest reason why they offered me sh*t money.

Looks mint mate, my black 4.6is was heaps of fun. I got offered 36k for my 2005 facelift 108km X5 diesel today, this was a trade on a 05 530d M Sport. I was disgusted seeing I paid 25k more for it + the wheels at $3200 @ purchase only in FEB this year. They say it is just a sign of the times, yet I can't seem to find any facelift diesel X5's for 36k !?!?!?!!!?

Indeed, I'm in the process of buying back my old land rover discovery and now have my ATV back after weeks and weeks of being away. I will be buying another X5 if this deal happens. The Disco will stay up at the crib.

No worries mate, thanks again. -
I thought it was reasonable too, it's done just under 70km I think. M Sport option was quite a healthy price tag on these too.

An idea here, but when I had my black Range Rover on 20" wheels, I done a wedding with the bridal party in mine and the other party in a black RR Sport supercharged, it did look bloody good....

I've got this car for tomorrow 530d M The X5 is getting up in the k's so it's time to move sidewards, I can't afford nor justify a E70 diesel as they are twice the price of my X5, they are great but not twice the car IMO. So I'm going to see if this 530d will do the trick, apparently it goes bloody well, has the 160kw 500nm engine which will get re-mapped should I buy it! Edit: When I looked at it today (was only in there for the X5 being in the workshop) I sat on the rear boot whilst it was open and there was absolutely no movement in the suspension, so I'm guessing it handles fantastically. It's also just been put on the yard today, funny thing, my X5 was on the yard one day before I bought it!
-
Hehe, I had a black 4.6is mate, was an epic car but just a bit too thirsty for 30,000km per year.
-
I've been looking at the diesel versions myself to buy but at this stage I just can't justify nor afford one at this time. They seem to have a retail of around 80-100k and diesel/petrol doesn't seem to make alot of difference. I did see one E70 V8 on there a while ago and it's still there, several others too. Pictures might help but I'd say it would have a retail of aprox 85k & obviously wholesale would have to be 15-20k less???

Excellent, that was quick... I take it mine has arrived? If sent today should be here tomorrow/friday ? -
They aren't as good looking as a genuine one, but as you said they are an attractive option especially when you look at the price!
-
They those ding removal guys are pretty good. I had a ding in the side of my X5 (pictured) and he got it out piece of piss, looks as good as new now!

Ha, if you probably know where the air induction is, you'd realise how silly it is pushing it hard through a river. -

Told you the bastard is used for what it was partly intended, water/mud - NOT through trees and any other stuff that would scratch her precious paint! It must have been loose anyway for a numberplate to fall off, I done the lawns just before I took the car fishing and I would have noticed it missing, so it has gone missing from the river crossing.
