  1. Thanks Glenn, but unfortunately I won't be able to get any time off work today to get to Botany Might try BM Workshop, they are near by where I work. The car is due for inspection soon anyway, so might do all that at once. Cheers
  2. Strange thing happened this morning. Hopped into car to go to work, everything is fine, stopped to get some food on the way. Went to start the car, and it wouldn't start at first - eventually it did. After about a minute of driving I noticed that it had all of a sudden lost power - even in first gear it was really slow to get the revs up, especially up to 2500 rpm. Once it had hit around 4000rpm seemed to pull as normal. No warning lights, engine sounded normal. Got to work (which is not far away), left the car parked for 30 minutes, tried it again just now and it all seems ok. Any ideas what this could be? Hasn't happened before. Cheers
  3. And what about the "safety" feature that some detectors have? In case of road works, accidents etc. the signal can be sent so that it warns drivers that there is a hazard ahead of them. This would be very useful, but its not being used here.
  4. But what happens then is that people start overtaking anyway, in some cases over double yellow lines - seen this more than a few times when I was on my road trip. Quite dangerous.
  5. Washed the car today, and yeah looks like it was blasted by mini shotgun - especially noticeable coz the car is black. Oh well
  6. First of all happy new year everyone, hope you had a good time I had decided to something different for this new year, and came up with an idea to drive from Auckland all the way down to Queenstown - and back. Around 1500 km each way And what can I say, it has been an amazing road trip, in fact I'd say this was one of the best holidays I had so far. Shame I couldn't stay longer - was supposed to be on holiday till 12th, but something came up so got to be back to work on monday Left last saturday, drove down to Wellington, spent a day there and then got on a ferry to Picton. Left Queenstown 10am yesterday, and got home 8am this morning - 10 hour drive to Picton then 3 hours rest on the ferry, and another 7 hours drive to Auckland. I've enjoyed every kilometer of the trip. Beautiful scenery, weather wasn't too bad, and not too much slow traffic on the way - and where there was I enjoyed overtaking every single one of them Had a black 645Ci on my tail all the way from Picton to Christchurch, we didn't drive too fast or irresponsibly, just a bit of fun All in all an unforgettable experience, and I'm thinking of doing it again for next new year. We could make it a Bimmersport cruise Here are some photos of the scenery that I've been driving through. Picture in the dark was taken in National Park around 4:30am this morning - driving through there at night is an experience in itself.

  8. I must have seen 328C1 then
  9. Q. Are these already stamped? A. No they have not been made, Which allows you to have them made in what ever style you choose, thanks Saying they haven't been made yet, but I saw silver E46 with these plates few days ago. Actually saw that same car a couple of times around city. Quick search on carjam.co.nz says plate is not being used tho... so maybe its just my poor eyesight
  10. This is bullsh*t, can't believe they have nothing better to do. I got pulled over a couple of weeks ago because cops thought I was going "too fast" when I overtook them (two lanes in both directions, he was in front of me doing about 30). Also asked me about the plates, told him what the deal was, no problem. As for going "too fast", had a radar detector, they didn't have radar on, end of story (I was doing under 60 anyway). Cop was a nice guy tho, even had a laugh with him
  11. Lime bar here I come. And if one of them is willing to get me a new M3 I'm all hers:)

    My E36 Coupe

    Looks awesome, great job.
  13. 98 at BP, been using it in my old Mitsi as well ever since they started selling it.
  14. I've got e46 328 coupe which is now around 125000km mark. Had the car for about 10 months now, only thing that had to be done recently was replacing the wiring loom in the steering wheel. Apart from that no other issues. If you do regular mainteance should have no problems.

  17. I'm with NZI - used them for about 5 years for my old car as well, quite happy with their service, and not too expensive.
  18. $4K doesn't seem too bad for a rare and classic car, although I wouldn't pay that much for it.
  19. Welcome, you got yourself a nice looking car.

    Check this filth

That is disgusting... person living there obviously has some mental issues.
  21. You're right... maybe its been in an accident and the rear had to be repainted?
  22. Generally not a big fan of Z3... but I wouldn't mind owning this one. M Power, and I really like the inside of this car - those seats are really cool. Bet its fast too
