NZ does have a right of citizens arrest.If you have caught someone breaking the law you are legally allowed to physically restrain them until the police arrive.However you need to be very careful about the "reasonable force" provisos in the law. Having said that,after a career in pubs,I always found the police pretty reasonable about their intepretation of that as long as you havent beaten the living s**t out of them.

You're right hahaThe catch is that it looks like I need to lower the window enough to access the 2 offending bolts but thats a dilemma since the window is fully up & not working. One of those annoyingly simple things-when you know how to do it. EDIT PS Mark your cars looking great!

As above I've got a dud motor I think but just cant figure how to detach the regulator where it bolts to the window rail. Its a rear window & is fully up at present. Is it possible to remove the motor without pulling the whole regulator.
