  1. Yesterday, listed the E30 on trademe ? It's sad to be selling it, but it's to open the door for better opportunities ?
  2. Sadly I've got to get rid of the E30 ? http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=1397703143&ed=true
  3. Rent and food won't change from here, it's all based off Manawatu anyway So I think I'll actually be ok. Maybe even more than ok, I might even enjoy it
  4. Well my travel time to work will be negligible so that should take most of the negatives away. And when I do come across traffic I have a motorbike ?
  5. After saying I'd never ever move to Auckland, I'm actually looking forward to it at the end of this year
  6. Now on trademe: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=1388202208
  7. I'll even go $700 for BS members seeing as it's advertised at $800 everywhere else, and I'd really like some space in my shed!
  8. Haha I would but there's a limit to how many cars they'll let me keep on base! I think 4 is not going to work, so gotta cull a few!
  9. Bump! $800? I'm moving to Auckland later this year and won't be able to take this, so would love for it to be gone!
  10. I'd have to agree with Graham a bit here, I think a budget mini series would easily outstrip the Ssanyyongggssss because people know what a Mini is, and what it stands for. And underneath it's a BMW as well Not like those weird Korean utes that nobody quite fully trusts yet... And at $25k + cage it's not that far off E30 prices, which can only go up as parts supply goes down

    Quick rant thread.

Only inside the car though, shouldn't be any fumes there
  12. New wheel cylinder in, no more leaky brake fluid! Hopefully the rear shoes aren't too far gone and grip enough still for less than 20% difference L/R! Now to trace the reverse light fault... (Reason for not doing a full rear brake service - car has a leak from the profile gasket so it's days are well and truly numbered anyway!)
  13. Perfect tip-off, matched me up two cans this morning and only charged me for one! Should have my door sorted next sunny, calm day!

Yeah, that's the bit that's odd. I paid nothing for the $750 tow, and the car was at my house no more than an hour after I got home!

AA got my E30 back from Taupo no qurstions asked, a $750 tow. I have AA plus and it's definitely been worth it for me. Odd that they couldn't help you out!
  16. $800? Pretty much manual conversion and a bonus 316i
  17. Would that mean you'd be ditching the towbar?
  18. Would also consider a trade for a tidy 7x4 or larger trailer.
  19. Ahh that's the crowd that Supercheap tried to refer me to, said by VINZ but also said "Resene" so I went to Resene Will give them a go when I'm back from Oz, much easier than going to Wellington!
  20. Would like to have this gone by July, as I'm going away for a month!

Kind of, still in defence but swapping green for blue.
  22. And they can definitely match it if I bring the car to them? As that's the biggest trouble so far. Two cans from people who "knew what it would be" have been completely off so far
  23. Reg on hold, no wof. Mostly stripped interior, heater box removed and looped. Continue building into a track car, or use the parts to manual convert your car. 1.6l motor still runs, slight tick, 251000kms Manual gearbox can be notchy when cold but otherwise ok. Have most of the interior still, buyer can take what they want. Note: Windscreen is cracked and battery is stuffed. Car is located in Sanson, Manawatu. $700 ONO for BS members
  24. Any suggestions on where to go in the Manawatu or Wellington regions for colour matched spraycans, when I don't have a paint code (SA built ice white) and I'm not even sure it's still the factory colour? (PO resprayed it) Car is an 1987 320I if it matters. Resene matched up an "ice white" but its not remotely close, and the label they printed has a 1998 date on it so I'm guessing it's a later "ice white".
