  1. What you just whipped that dyno graph up on Excel? It could legitimately make 209kW, if it uses a fully worked S14 or S42. I am a little unsure of how the auto box would get all that to the wheels though.
  2. I've got a large dog. So I bought a large bag of Meaty Bites at Big W and was standing in line at the check-out. A woman behind me asked if I had a dog. On impulse, I told her that no, I was starting The Meaty Bites Diet again, although I probably shouldn't because I'd ended up in the hospital last time, but that I'd lost 25 kgs before I woke in an intensive care ward with tubes coming out of most of my orifices and IV's in both arms. I told her that it was essentially a perfect diet and that the way that it works is to load your pants pockets with Meaty Bites and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry & that the food is nutritionally complete so I was going to try it again. I have to mention here that practically everyone in the line was by now enthralled with my story, particularly a guy who was behind her. Horrified, she asked if I'd ended up in the hospital in that condition because I had been poisoned by the food. I told her no, it was because I'd been sitting in the middle of the road licking my dick and a car hit me. I thought one guy was going to have a heart attack he was laughing so hard as he staggered out the door. Stupid bitch...why else would I buy dog food??
  3. Yes, it looks like you had a good time. Good to see you enjoying it out there.
  4. What a cock. If it was me driving the bus, I'd have had a little black hood ornament. The things you see when you don't have a gun.
  5. Why would you use Windows when you have a Mac?
  6. Welcome to the board anyway. I read both threads and you have to expect a bias toward one type on either board. There have been a few sensible things said for and against. I guess for me, the stats that everyone has put up for the STi are the 0-100kph times. Do the comparison for the 0-200kph and see which brand comes out on top. Again, that's only relevant if you every want to drive that fast (on the track). If you drive around town or the Coromandel, then the STi gets my vote. If, like me you drive on the open road a lot. You can't go wrong with a BMW (even a lesser one than an M3). They are easier to drive (IMO) than a Scooby too (although I am comparing my 540iS to Mum's Turbo Legacy) around fast sweeping corners. I have to wonder about whether it is a fair comparison though. They are both excellent cars for me, but designed for very different tasks. In reality, like asking whether an Aprilia RS250 is better than a Ducati 1098RR. Good luck with whichever car you choose to go with.
  7. The green tint in the glass is probably referring to the tint across the top of the windscreen, not the entire windscreen. Mine was referred to as Green stripe windscreen. Also the additional tank is a fuel fill for export. Have a read of mine versus whatever spreadsheet you are reading from. Maybe the German's lost a little in translation.
  8. Go back next week-end and see the touring cars going for it! The BMW's do about 1 minute 33's versus the 1 minutes 40's the Arbarths can get around in. They are heaps of fun though!
  9. Another one of him. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=9141235555447937325 Watch the windscreen flex
  10. Cost me nothing. But I had a pretty good relationship with their service department back then.
  11. A good turn-out of cars. Good to see Dale there in the Arbarth practicing for next weeks endurance race.
  12. Go to a BMW Dealer. They can print yours out.
  13. No, most cars are delivered with the buildsheet hidden somewhere in the car. I'll see if I can find the 1 I got from BMW. Found it. 540options.pdf

    Mint looking car. Welcome.
  15. Departing this afternoon at 1630. I shot out to the workshop briefly yesterday to have a look at the cars being prepped for the endurance series. Richard was off to Invercargill for the race down there. I'm sure there'll be some nice cars at Ruapuna on Saturday. Have fun.
  16. No, I'm currently sitting in my hotel room in Christchurch and think the manual says about 1680kg. I must go and weigh it sometime. It's still pretty close. I'd just prefer to see real figures of what you have done. In theory I'm capable of scoring Claudia Schiffer. In reality.....not much.
  17. Hi Riley It's a good find. I didn't mean to knock it. Just keen to see the actual figures versus the theorectical. Here are the ones for the 540. Power at Flywheel (BHP) : 286 Weight without Driver (KG) : 1680 Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 172.97 0 - 60 (Secs) : 6.21 0 - 100 (Secs) : 15.30 60 - 100 (Secs) : 9.09 Quarter Mile (Secs) : 14.53 Terminal Speed (MPH) : 97.43 Drag Strip Quarter Mile (Secs) : 14.43 Drag Strip Terminal Speed (MPH) : 98.53 Not far off. I did a 14.78 with a BBQ in the boot. Who knows? I was going faster than that at the finish though.
  18. Welcome. Enjoy your time and your car. I'm sure I won't miss that beast next time I'm down there.
  19. And before someone like Crusader doubts the advice from 3pedals. He is a very knowledgable audio engineer.
  20. The CCTV is not something they can convict you on. Tell them to stuff off.
  21. Good call carzyarab. Nice drive R90S.
  22. Nice spot. I hope there isn't too much gravel rash on them.
