Sounds good. Cragar wheels. Shame the video is poor. Look forward to photos. -
Lexus Chief Engineer: BMW M3 provided benchmark for Lexus IS-F

Looks like the lovechild of a new STi and a Maxima. If I had the cash, I wouldn't be putting that top of my list. -
You obviously never knew Angus!
-
Nice. I'll look forward to meeting you tomorrow. The Turbine II's should spin the other way. The wheels are on the wrong side of the car.
-
Car looks good. Shame about the wheels. As has been said, it stands out!

Thanks to Car-fe and Mr Potatohead for cleaning it. More to come later. I have to go and play with the firemen for the afternoon. http://gallery.mac.com/debbielchapman#1000...lack&sel=18 Here's a link to the slideshow on our beta-site (haven't decided to migrate blog to .mac yet). It's easier than waiting for them to upload here. I'll add more later, if you can't be bothered to use the link. Cheers, I feel a beer coming on. See you tomorrow!

As my French is non-existant, they must have been going about 160kph to get that difference. Because a standard M3/M5 will stop from 100kph in 34 metres (approx). To get a 52 metre differential on the test, they must have been hauling!

Welcome. We'll have to get the cars to the drags again some day. A few BMW V8's aren't that common down there. Nice car. Get along to BMW tomorrow too.
-
Welcome. Nice example. If you're in Auckland, bring it along to BMW (Mt Wellington) tomorrow. The Drive starts about 2pm. Show and shine from 10am.

I'll swing a corporate ticket again. Hospitality is the way to go.

Could I make another suggestion? I believe that the Jag 4 litre motor is the same block as the 540. Could you fit an XJR/XKR supercharged engine in there instead 400hp and driveable.

I have no idea about the one in CHC, but Bruce's M5 on the BMW club site is still for sale. I spoke to him a couple of weeks ago, he's in no rush, is just not really driving it much these days. http://www.bmwclub.co.nz/market-place/206.html This one is a very nice car.

Check Coolant Level warning light, help 328i 1996
cainchapman replied to charlie01's topic in Maintenance
It'll be against the firewall where you fill the coolant. There is a white float sensor in there. Over time, it looks fine, but doesn't work electrically anymore. Just get a new one from BMW, they less than $50. Or Brent will have one lying around. Or poor connectors on the sensor (much less likely) -
Sweet, is that Henna Red? Andrew will love you. A towbar, WTF?

An hour or two a day. I've got a job Andrew! Badass!
-
It's on the site somewhere. I've just done a quick search and couldn't find it.
-
Nice day. Good photos too.
-
Never knew such a thing existed. Nice looking car.
-
Slap some dealers plates on it for the day.

12 year old paint. Lacquer peeling. Had the front done earlier this year. Got to have it tidy for the 25th Anniversary.
-
No, I don't live down here. The in-laws do. I spend about a week a month working from down here and odd week-ends too.
-
Sounds Fair. I'm having the boot on the 540 done now for $300 inc GST.
-
I can get it couriered down to you, as I'm in the BOP now, if you'd like. I need an excuse to go across the shore.
