  1. It looks more like Springs than Shocks. Pretty straight example from the look of those shots though. http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....ic=4030&hl= The 2nd photo in here is of my car side on. The front always appears a little higher then the rear. M5 suspension, so 20mm lower than the standard 540i, on 17" wheels. No idea what your is on.
  2. cainchapman Original, as ever. Go the All Blacks!
  3. No, is the short answer. However, I do know someone who used the GPS data in a truck to have the police drop a careless use charge.
  4. Speedometers are generally optimistic. Have a look at NZ Autocar tests. The range from 97kph down to 91kph (actual) for an indicated 100kph. Sounds about right.
  5. Firstly, welcome and a nice car too. International Motosport is now International Porsche (off memory) and Lyall's new set-up is in Pollen St, Grey Lynn. So there are still one or two guys there left over from BMW Motorsport. Conrod is probably the best person to help on the site for those guys. You could try DCH Motorsport in Christchurch and ask for Richard. Previously I would have suggested Graeme Clyde, but he is now working for Richard, so it's a 1 stop shop. The racing E36's are worked on here. However, most of them are the 4 door Super Tourers. Mal Clarke at bygone autos, maybe? Enjoy the honeymoon.
  6. Yes, the BMW staff and dealer launch is at Taupo in the next week or so.
  7. Looks sweet. Good to see a rear mounted race seat! I'll keep an eye out for it around town.
  8. Just lucky I guess. Euan happened to be standing there. He's a great motorsport photographer. The shame of it is, that I could have had my video camera in the car at the time, but Deb, Andrew & I all got tied up resurrecting the timing for the meeting and I didn't have a chance. The in-car footage would have been great too. Andrew is digitising footage of use turning the Testarossa into an arc-welder in the first Targa NZ.
  9. This photo? I'll have to go and find someone who has the calendar. Thanks for the tip.
  10. You're right Emma. It is a much nicer day than when you bought it. Nice photos and a very mint looking car. I hope you're enjoying it. A week-end in Christchurch for a driver training day must be in order soon.
  11. Put "Back in Black" on repeat. Serve Lion Red. Instant Party. Well, out West, where I'm from anyway.
  12. I've just seen a Henna 320 with a cage in it on Birdwood Cres, Parnell today. Going to be two Ginger beasts out there soon? spelling
  13. Well, new Sport Maxx fitted. Quiet. Well a 747 is quiet compared to the A048R's, so maybe I'm wrong. Never seen the traction going so much as on the drive home in a long time. I'm sure once the gain their grip, I won't see it as much.
  14. 20-25hp for the let manifold sounds a little (read completely wrong) optimistic on the power gain. It is meant to flow better at high revs, so you get a win at the top end and you lose a little mid-range. 3pedals will give you the low down. I think he has done this mod, and then the complete M3 exhaust (with dyno) on a 328. The cams are probably not worth the effort either as a value for money upgrade. I'd look at the MAP-ECU first.
  15. All rebuilt, done the SI Endurance series already. Came 2nd overall too. Currently waiting for a motor rebuild. And if anyone answers when the SI BMW series is, it might show up for that too.
  16. Thanks to both of you. Johno, I'd love to talk to you. Get me your contact details and I'll call and arrange to stop by.
  17. They only have them in 94Y in that size according to the web-site. Whatever 94Y might mean also. Load rating off memory. I wonder if I should put a staggered set-up in.
  18. OK, the Yoko A048R's have served me well, but are now toast. Where do you suggest to go for good quality 235/45/17's? Thanks, Cain

    M323i E6

That's a great looking car. Good luck with the sale.
  20. something like this? Looking forward to seeing more of it.
  21. Ouch, just be thankful you're OK. I got to attend a Car vs Pedestrian outside Nosh on Saturday (pedestrian's fault). A very nasty compound fracture of the leg and lucky to only be bleeding a little from the mouth and nose after they sorted out the windscreen.
