  1. Looks good, and a budgetary price?
  2. Congratulations Again Grant. Lucky we had that beer last week. At least you don't have to rush out and buy a gun to keep Gus away. It's heaps of fun.
  3. Congratulations Emma Very nice. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Remember to take it to Ruapuna for a BMWCC driver training week-end.
  4. 95 without a doubt would be the lowest I would run any 3 series E36, 5 Series E34 or newer. I'll post them again. The first is the 540 on 95. 165kW The second is the 540 on BP Ultimate (98). 172kW I'd only run it on 91 as the last resort (as I had to run my supercharged Commodore in the Outback of Oz).

  6. No problem Allan. I hope you enjoyed your time up here in Auckland. Just a shame we didn't have to to stop for a coffee at Maraitai. http://www.bmwclub.org.nz/index.php?catego...mp;p18_start=10 March 10th at Taupo. RXSumo, Kiwi_535 and Carl are all on the BMWCC Committee down there and will be of assistance to you. They may well organise a day at Manfield. The Intermarque sprints are also good to attend.
  7. No worries Allan. I meant to be working from tomorrow and the 540 will be in my possession until the 5th at least. I won't be cleaning it though! Milan, where have you been? Long time, no hear.
  8. Allan, you are more than welcome to come and take mine for a quick spin.
  9. You can always make me an offer.
  10. 1 540LE in NZ. There are about another 9 or 10 lower spec'd 540iS though. Here is an excerpt from the M registry on them. Were there any special versions of the M540i? Being a limited model itself, there were no further special editions of the M540i. However, similar 540i models with different M5-derived equipment were offered in both the U.S. and Australian markets where the E34 M5 had also been discontinued after the 1993 model year. These were known as the 540i M-Sport (U.S.) and 540i Manual Limited Edition (Australia). How is the Australian-spec E34 540i Manual Limited Edition unique? A special production run of 70 right-hand drive E34 540i Manual Limited Edition models was produced for the Australian market between March and July of 1995. These were the only E34 540i models sold in Australia with the six-speed manual gearbox and included all of the standard 540i equipment as well as the following special features: -"Nurburgring" chassis from the European-market E34 M5 with Electronic Damping Control (EDC), larger anti-roll bars and firmer shocks -8x17-inch M System II wheels with 235/45ZR17 tires -ASC+T traction control -model badge delete -Shadowline exterior trim -sport seats -graphite birds-eye maple wood trim -M-Technic four-spoke airbag steering wheel -illuminated M leaher shift knob -silver plaque under the parking brake handle with each vehicle number in the edition of 70 The E34 540i Manual Limited Edition was officially offered in only the following exterior colors: Alpine White III (300), Calypso Red metallic (252), Arctic Silver metallic (309), Cosmos Black metallic (303), Techno Violet metallic (299), Tobago Blue metallic (256), Petrol Mica (305). In addition, there were three examples in Orient Blue metallic (317), two examples in Oxford Green metallic (324) and one example in both Ascot Green metallic (353) and Arctic Grey metallic (269). Interior colors and trim were limited to a choice of Anthracite M cloth/Amaretta suede, Silvergrey M cloth/Amaretta suede, Black leather, Silvergrey leather and Bi-Color Black/Silvergrey leather.
  11. Going from 95 to 98 got me another 7kW at the wheels.
  12. If your parents want a safe slow car. You can't go passed a Fiat X1/9. If you can find one in good condition. Get the 1500 5 speed. It was an incredibly safe vehicle. And IMO a good looking car too.

    Wii

Yes, I've got all the Zelda's from N64 to Wii. They are an excellent series. The viseo store up in Eastridge have most of the Wii games to hire already. Haven't had time to get up there. Zelda is taking up all my spare time.
  14. I'd look at the 528 as a minimum. They go pretty well. They aren't that heavy either. Our 540 gets about 9-9.5l/100k on a road trip and returns 12.5-13.5 in round town driving. I'd get your local BMW dealer to do their 180 point check (or whatever it is) and get their recommendation. I'd go with the 540 as the driveability is awesome. They don't cost a lot more to maintain. Get a manual if possible. Welcome too.

    Wii

Ok, so I got another games console for Christmas. The Wii this time. It's great. And awesome to have wireless comms on it. Has anyone else got one? Can you play via broadband yet? Cheers Cain
  16. Call Graeme Clyde (GAC something) or Richard at DCH Motorsport. There is always Christchurch BMW
  17. Haha, I've seen that thing out the back of Gisborne. I was going to stop and take a photo. I thought maybe would like it, as he has a Ginger fetish.
  18. I'd have to say that calling Curbz a dick is flattering him. Posting such a lame and imflammatory post for his first post. I'd say that an ignorant Eunich was an apt description.
  19. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xclyYDXW-kA Here are the best kind of cops!
  20. Try an organise a time for a high speed run at the Airfield.
  21. You need to move to a decent suburb Andrew. That's punishment for being North of the bridge. You could always drive around Tamaki Drive on a Sunny afternoon (seems I enjoy rush-hour more in Summer) as I find myself doing on my way home.
  22. Haha Jock, don't worry. Victor Meldrew is one of my heroes! You could have driven over his 3 series in the Territory.
