  1. Remus, call Retro Products. Schnitzer, call BMWNZ.
  2. www.bmwcc.org.nz, $65 per annum. Well worth the money. And we don't care what you drive, just come along and enjoy it. See the relevant region page on the site (as I've no idea where you are). Pads, couldn't answer either. My Mintex 1166, $750 for a set of 4, but they are a lot larger than yours. Call the dealer and 0800 race brakes and get quotes from both of them.
  3. There was an RS2000 Martyn, but it was a Ruscort (Escort). The RS200 was a Group B weapon. 0-100 in 2.1 seconds. 650hp from 2.1 litres.
  4. Thanks again Emma. You're not just a pretty face. Yes, it was originally Dennis Chapman's 540, now it's Debbie Chapman's 540. Had the plate on the car from the start. No-one notices now that the plates have gone to 3 letters and 3 numbers. The stealthy badging! All the cars were named like that. DCHBUS, DCH164, DCH348, DCHTES, DCHVAN. Now gone away from that naming convention now. Must go and order some europlates in the near future. Might be able to go and collect them shortly.

Carl, stop suggesting the stupid mods he could do. Brent, I've nearly sold that K&N for you to Tim. The biggest pod I've ever seen. Keep it sleepy for now Tim.
  6. Nice, Jap 3 series. They shouldn't be allowed to call it RS though. Cosworth need to be involved to earn those initials.

    It's Done!

Great car! I know of a beautiful headers and exhaust system waiting for your car. I'll try to get some pics and post them for you.
  8. I'd buy the BMW discs from BMW (are you a BMW car club member?, you'll get 10% off). They are good discs. Pads, I guess get them from wherever. If you drive it hard a bit. Look at upgrading. Call Steve at 0800 racebrakes. Otherwise the BMW ones are ok too. Don't go cheap on the brake parts. They may save your life.
  9. Thanks Emma. I haven't had time to get my hands on a copy (don't ask, tough day). I'll look forward to getting a copy. I'm doing some work the the printer and am hoping to get these pages unbound. Glad to see they're happy with it. Exhaust mods are next! Watch the dyno results and see if they free up some more neddies.
  10. It's a Ford. Buy an import VTEC Integra or whatever and race it with a cage. You'll have more fun and it will be cheaper than $39k. Do the Narva tour instead?
  11. Nice, I get the clears in the rear too. They look good on dark coloured cars.
  12. Unless it's a 7 Series, there is no such thing as a top of the line Automatic!
  13. Welcome Bex I'm a Westie also, that's the reason for the V8 (my excuse). Nice looking car, join the BMW Car Club too and bring it along for a thrash. The Auckland Car Club have Grasskhana's in Ranui that are heaps of fun too. Ciao.
  14. Nice, you obviously spent some time on the chrome too.

Cool Brent. That radiator doesn't look big enough to me!
  16. They are not up to it for power as standard to an M325. But they have better balance and handling. Like comparing an Alfa 2l Coupe to the 2.5l GTV. The pic of the 4's (apart form the M3 obviously) is the 320iS (Italian LHD, destroked S14), then the 318iS or M325/325iS. Again, I'm ignoring the tuners cars, Alpina, Hartge etc. Spend a bit on the motor and you can get the 318iS to put out some big hp. Spend a lot and you can have 216kW.
  17. Good looking, but gutless. Would make a very nice car.
  18. OK, the father in law has just called to say he has his copy of NZ Autocar. The 540 is in this months Second Gear article. That's all I know. Keep an eye out. Andrew promises to scan it and post. Looking forward to watching the Intermarque's tomorrow. Emma, could you have a lash at photoshopping my plates as Euro's. Thanks.

Anything on the 70 Australian 540iLE's? If so, I'll buy it.

You'll just have to learn to left foot brake for a while Tim. A 1/4 mile with the auto should go alright though!

    Looking Good Andrew! :thumb:
  22. OK, I've blown up pic 3. You've got 8" wheels. Got no idea. Buy decent tyres this time.
  23. Are they too wide for your rim? Don't know, just asking. Should be on a 7" rim for that width. I assume yours are. It could also have something to do with the load rating. However 87 should cope with your car. Go down to Marshall tyres in Newmarket and speak to Leon Marshall. He give you good advice. Maybe it has something to do with the 'Made in Taiwan" on them also.
