Wheel Alignment Places - North Shore/Auckland
MISS BM replied to duvey's topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
TyrePro in Takapuna are fantastic. Waited after hours for my car to be towed when both front tyres went down due to a crock company and their alignment I will not mention on here. They fitted two new tyres, Balanced and Full Alignment for the Same price the other place was for one tyre and a balance. Justin is epically awesome and there is a reason BMW Dealers recommend him -
Haha Indeed! Change the plate to 007 of some form.. People might get the hint. I must be a muppet, I was on a cruise one fine summer night (as you do) and a few mates of mine caught me at the traffic lights, they decided to download flashing police lights on their smartphones and had me fooled.. However no use of sirens didn't help. Note to self: Invest in sirens for near future...

I was thinking more down the lines of noobs who sit at 80km in the right land of the MWAY. Will cruise down with my remote in one hand changing from red to blue.. I reckon it might just work! (despite the illegal side affects) I have the option to go the general LED white/blue colour. She'll be right

I felt like the M3 wasn't getting new toys. And I decided that I wasn't yet prepared to bring in my humogo wish list order from ECS while the exchange rate is blerg. So I committed a BMW crime and purchased colour changing LED Angel Eyes for her. Oh and the Schnitzer. See Video for ultimate muppet mode.

I am running CCFL on my E46 Coupe. They have now run 25,000kms always on.. slowly fading, so I have just gone ahead and purchased colour changing LED versions.. I will report back and see how much of a muppet it brings with it. CCFL look simple, and not over powering as you see with many LED versions. I have attached image of my CCLF ones Quality on Ebay is all generally the same.

iOBD2 seems to be common, however very expensive. But the Software is a free download, vs Purchasing adapter and then software on top. BMWhat and the BMW iobd2 would be the best ones to go with. BMWhat on Android via Cable to your phone has the ability to code the car as well for minor items like when the door locks, speeds between wipers, and a bunch of other items. However on iPhone it can do everything par code it as iOS don't allow the permissions for it. Otherwise purchase the tool, and then free software and you have a basic scanner I tried free version of Torque Pro and it didn't pick up on my M3.. So can't be of any help how good it would be.

Yeah, it's a completely different car - compared with all E46s. However I still love the Schnitzer and I just can't sell. Instead I have sign-written her like a dork so I have no option but to justify why I still have the Schnitzer Obvs the huge power gains, paired with the SMG gearbox.. it's more a machine than a car. Traction is easily lost, control is great but you have to be on edge.. M3 Gets the Weekend Attention. I wait for the exhange rate to improve and then I do large orders. I am due to get all the parts for an Inspection II on the M3, so will be ordering soon I hope. If you want to jump on board, that's sweet. If it goes over 400NZD I generally create two orders and split the weight for beneficial shipping costs among them both.

Guess I'm just a serious person with serious intentions. In retrospect, nobody can tell the tone or manner of saying something via a Forum. For all intents and purposes I could of been laughing my head off, while joking around... But you can't see that. Not can 100% of the members on this forum *note - written while laughing*

Indeed. This add with probably deter more potential buyers than grab them. If I didn't know Steve Id be sure to stay away from viewing incase he saw the female gender like this :/
-
The word 'you' is in an incorrect manner, since I may add it wasn't 'me' that posted the advert. I have taken the joke, therefor I am in no need to loosen up. However in due response, I saw this when he wrote it out and almost fell over in a wtf manner over an erotic BMW ad. So yes, I can take a joke
-
Very very good friend of mine. Nice to see that people can't take a joke! Loosen the Fuxk up.

My first BMW was a 320i Auto. It was f**ken awesome. Until I discovered more to life than E30s. Get yourself a BMW that no one has, E30s are seen at every second house these days. E21, E38 or something kidding, but welcome!
-
Yeah yeah... Same on the other car too haha.. My sister E46s. Perfecto
-
Ahh. The old girl is clicking over now.. Gets rather daunting watching that milage head towards 300k.
-
Don't worry, Schnitzer is fixed so will be back at work instead of torturing the M3 to traffic haha. May add - extremely good fuel. Used it this last week in traffic and 11.1L/100km was my overall consumption come the end of the week. Noice M3, berry nice.

Can get the cord here in NZ for a lot cheaper. Or Even Ebay haha

BMWhat looks like an awesome option for Android and iPhone.. But need to check if available in Nz.

Coding can only be done via USB OBD2 Plug which you would find for those you use NCS expert direct on their laptops. Can't code for E46 via Wireless Communication unfortunately. Only from 03/2007 onwards. Will try hunt someone down who has one.
-
Anyone used the BMWhat App? Which supports coding as well with a OBD to USB port which then uses USB-OTG to connect via phone.. Only coding is available via Android. Torque seems good - heard good things, but am certainly after an app/device that can read BMW Specific codes.. $230 seems a bit steep when it's only for reading the codes. I can get a specific BMW App + Reader for under $100NZD.

I am sure there is a topic on here somewhere - but the grueling process of looking through thousands of threads prompted me to ask the question myself. I have an iPhone - and the iobd2 xTool, or iobd2-bmw xTool via WiFi looks like it would do everything I require - but the price tag sits over $200 and its made me think 'what else is out there?' I have an Android Tablet, and am potentially preparing the trade up of iPhone to Android, so am widening my search of an OBD2 WiFi/Bluetooth reader to connect with a suitable app to read the basics of my M3, eg: Temps, Basic Stats, and most importantly Fault Codes. So I ask you fellow BMW enthusiasts, if you use one - what is it that you use and would you recommend it, or if you feel you have a valued opinion in regard to a fantastic OBD2 App and reader, please share. I know of TorquePro for Android, would this be on par with iobd2 - and would a basic WiFi/Bluetooth reader off trade me do the trick required or must I prepare to pay out a little more for a better reader. I am under the understanding WiFi versions are quicker than your Bluetooth. Ideally for now an App on iPhone that would be suitable, or even better, and App for Both Android and iPhone, otherwise just Android which I could read off my tablet, or potentially new phone. I am not requesting the indepth tasks like a full on $10k scanner.. This is iobd2-bmw http://iobd2.co.uk/products/#iobd2-bmw Edit: Got quote.. $230 incl GST for iobd2-bmw

I can't afford to fork out money for people that say their coming but won't. Play day have been great, and all the insurance, officials, tow blah blah is sorted. Unfortunately Im not balling with money and can afford a loss - so I'll leave it up to individuals to pay their way, not me Puke next weekend if anyone wants to join.
-
We only have about 15 people interested so far in a track day run by Euro Car Club - all but 2 BMWs. It's just a small 'if you are interested' thing, and I would have to book out complete sessions with PlayDay. Hiring out the track is so expensive, needs to be like 6 months in Advance, and I would need to have a 20% deposit ready now... $6785 for One day of Track Hire on a Weekend - yikes.
