    'THE' M3...

From the hundred lot of people doing photos, I've found merely one proper shot of the ECC lot. And that was only because it was requested. People tell me there is no divided line between JDM/American and Euro, but it was proven by 99% of photographers there, ignoring our cars pointblank. When you see an album of 650 photos pop up on Facebook of the day, you sort of hope it might of ended in there, like the 250 others cars that were shot, sh*t box or not. Yeah I understand it was Euros in the wrong scene, but we were invited and told to come along as it was open to all grade cars. Meh. And this is why I started Euro Specific events, and next time the JDM bunch cry and wine about how they are left out, will remind them of our sour experience at an event told to be aimed at 'all' makes, yeah right.

    2000 BMW 728i

As title states. Good Condition for age. Full Service History. Well Optioned, and time for a new owner. Priced to sell.. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=840585777&ed=true
  3. I always see it. Saw it in the city again, and then in Ponsonby, and then again on the Shore. Spotted you once flying through the Greenlane area on a mission it seemed haha.

Are they actually dedicated car women? Or just fakies and cake faced up to the max? RaeRae and Jo are the two most awesome women in Motorsport I have met - more like them. Non arrogant, down to earth car (BMW) loving lot. We need more.

Accidentally left Miss M3 plate at home that day so just made do with both my Miss BM plates. Women into cars is the promotion here, there aren't enough of us!
  6. Spotted M5 in Oteha. Missing front bumper... BHF225 Been quiet on the spotting front. Excuse extremely zoomed in shot.

Some photos after today as I got it back - Sam is regarded as the best in Auckland, and I know a few of the forum sponsors on here use him as well. I just wanted a basic swirl removal, and he did just that. Attached are photos of it after being driven from the show etc. and I'm sure those with a black car will understand how hard it is to get that swirl free finish in a black car. I was stoked! Pricing is on his website I believe but obviously is cheaper is you just opt for a few things and not a package. I have a lot of work to do now before it's completely show n shine ready! Just didn't compare to the other cars there today being stock. These photos are taken with an IPhone, and unedited.

Righto Girls... Time to play nice while you sit amongst those Rotary's and 4s...
  9. I installed the unit about 6 months agoish. Was New. Just seems to happen periodically, but the first couple of times was when the music got a bit loud.. Shall find tester and test tonight.. Oh sh*t I can't it will be at 4 and Rotary's. Damn. Yeah, I will pull it all out eventually and test it. It just seems randomly odd.
  10. So in my Schnitzer I have a Dynavin Clone head unit - Which has been all fine and well until yesterday. I drove my car as per usual. And on the way back from work, it cuts out dead. No sound, lights, etc. I remember the M3 did something similar, so I figured I would sort the issue like I did on the M3 and pull fuse 7 and 41 under the glove box.. Waalaa, it worked. I drove it into the city again last night, and during that trip it would cut out, but then I could always turn back on. I also noticed when I restarted the car, the headunit was off and I had to physically turn it back on, and set it back to the audio settings I had originally. That was fine, until this morning. Plug in phone to play some music, 30 seconds after starting the car. Gone. Pulled the Fuses again in an attempt to 'reset' and nothing this time around. However on turning the car off, I can still hear the fan turning happily away as if nothing was wrong (Fan in Headunit) Are there any such electrical guru's that could lead me to the next best point of test and solution. The headunit is not even a year old, so I feel I can't really blame it. I should note, this started after I killed my angel eyes. Went to plug in a new set, but they didn't agree with the DME, so went to plug back in my old set, and they didn't work. Instead my indicator came on constant, and I couldn't turn it off without resetting the battery. Didn't cross any wires with the old set of angel eyes, so not sure what happened essentially, but they just don't work at all now. Ended up having to pull the battery, and stick a park light back in (instead of angel eyes) to make sure my indicator light didn't stay on constant. Idk, but there some electrical bugs going on in this car. May note, while typing this in the car before work, my fan is still happily spinning in the headunit -.-

It's going to be the only 'stock' newer car there tbh. Won't fit in, but trying to show there are cool Euros too! It's my first time. Shall see what's it's about
  15. As the title suggests, I am after some good North Island Roads preferably within a few hours from Auckland or ToePaw. In the planning stages of the ECC next event, and we are moving away from a meet and greet scenario to a Weekend 'driveaway' as such. I feel it could bring out the true enthusiasts which would hopefully tag along. I have travelled some of the roads around but never felt I took notice of the good ones, so I ask my fellow Bimmersporties if they don't mind sharing some fantastic routes around NI that they feel were worth the drive. Also some nice stop over/camping locations you may have been too. It's easy enough to say, cruise to ToePaw, stay there and drive back but I feel Bothering the minds of some of you wise fellas for more desirable places would be good
  16. Sam from Attention to Detail and Christian from Clean and Capture both run under the same umbrella, OCDetailing. www.attentiontodetail.co.nz. Sam is regarded as the best in Auckland for a reason
  17. Makes me wonder what the hell my poor cars going to look like when they start hitting over 25 yrs.. Must invest in a place with a Garage it seems. She'll be right.

Yeah far too gone by that stage sadly PlastiDip. They are black with a hint of copper (was playing around to try get a red tinge) Don't have any good full car shots - will get some though. It was going to be gunmetal but then ran out of time since we spent 3 hours mixing up some weird as colours so went black haha

Boot looks good. Same match to my roof but seems my other panels have a slight more of a blue tinge. Odd car. Looks heaps better. She will be part of the Show N Shine sections of 4s and Rotary's so be sure to come say hi

New Boot for her today. Unfortunately the current one had clear coat fading, a missing lip, and the badge was placed incorrectly and reverse lights fog/faded over. So picked me up a new one! With all necessities attached and intact paint (Will look a million bucks after a cut and polish) First two photo's are of before (still on the car) Will pop it on tomorrow

    'THE' M3...

Instead of respraying boot (Has clear coat fading and no spoiler) I purchased a 'new' one to pop on with all bits and bobs ready to go! That goes on hopefully tomorrow and the angel eyes arrived today so will do that tomorrow also! Yay. She's going to look like a beaut.

I originally wanted Gunmetal Rims - But I was a bit half half, and you can't go wrong with Black really. The best thing about this - is I can peel it all off when I change my mind, it's not permanent. Just something to tide me over until I can afford a nice set of Genuine Rims for the beast. It looks hella daunting pulling up behind you though - and had an Amercian admire it today and told me it was one 'murdered out' M3! Haha. Service costs are obvs slightly more expensive, mainly the oil. I found that my Pads/Discs can work out cheaper than my Schnitzer (how screwed up) and if you save up and plan for the maintenance and not repair, can't say it's that much more expensive. Ironically, my Schnitzer gets 10.1L/KM - and the M3 is sitting at 10.9L/100km, so even to run it's evening out! (And No I don't always drive like a Nana, but she doesn't sit in traffic) SMG isn't an Auto, and you can tell from the moment you set off that it's run by a clutch - Not smooth, not luxury in feel, but damn I love it. The kickback into your seat as you change gears is flippen worth it, and it's just brutal power you feel with no Auto Refinement. I use the Auto Schnitzer as the daily as it's a comfortable, easy changing car. SMG is for those 'let's go' moments and not designed to spend it's mornings in Auckland traffic, I'd assume the constant backwards/forwards motion of the clutch engaging, disengaging etc could drive you a bit bler in traffic, but I guess it's a lot nicer than a 6MT would be!

Looked too stock. So some cosmetic adjustments. Tinted Indicator Lights, Front. Black Rims with a 1%+/- Copper Tinge Black Front and Side Grills. Looks nice Excuse sh*t photo - It was getting dark. Will be sure to get some nice ones. Next in line is Inspection II, New Suspension Set Up, and keep that Crack Free Subframe 'Crack Free' with reinforcement.
  25. Mmm. It does seem random as.. Especially at that speed. I tested the M4 on a wet track.. Although I did have the second mode of DSC on.. (sorry my ability to comprehend the new tech is pathetic, but I'd say 'half' DSC was on) I then tested the M4 on the Skid Pan (albeit controlled environment) with all modes off, and found it brilliant to handle when the back started going out... However I was probably doing maybe a fraction of the speed. Maybe the rule is don't touch that MDM or whatever it's called mode until you are confident driving that thing around with control at 'Half' Mode (haha) He had a funny explanation
