Sorry to hijack my thread back. Car went MIA, as insurance told me it had been picked up and dropped off Monday, and Repairer said they didn't have it - found it, still at towing yard. The assessor doesn't believe it's worth towing to a panelbeater to even get a quote done as they don't think it can be repaired.. I personally know it can and have spoken to those who are the experts. Anything is possible, with the right amount of $$ I've told them I don't care what their assessor might think right now, I'd still like it towed for an assessment at my chosen repairer. I dropped the words 'sentimental', 'dream car' and a few other cheesy things to get them to realise it's not just another dumb car. I was under the impression they had to obtain a quote from someone, vs just writing it off there and then. Is anyone an insurance guru about keeping the vehicle live if it is to be written off?

Following... Schnitzer contracted the same disease on her roof - And she wasn't even touched with a polish I believe the gloss masters paint jobs aren't bad - quoted $300 for the roof when I had a chat. I'll be following this post My roof is currently wrapped!

Make a BMW 'S3' (Schnitzer 3) Hybrid the two cars together for one ultimate car. Then purchase E36 318is for fun car.. Kidding. My goal is to have her back in my driveway. Strict curfews will be put in place if that happens. Eg: No driving in traffic, not to be driven in the wet, bull bars front and rear... Nah not really, but I think I'll become a concerned mother whenever it gets driven (if it ever gets driven again) I'm hopeful. Fingers crossed and all. Right now it's just waiting back from insurance on what's the verdict. It's been the most intense waiting period ever. Women should never love cars, this sh*t gets too emotional! Haha.

Will do. Ray was I think the first point of call after 111 haha! All options will be explored. I've been inundated with offers to purchase it through me vs auction, it seems E46M3s are hot property (once crashed lol) A few fairly good offers but I'd like it back in my drive going. Will see!

Massive shoutout to Swann Insurance. They are legends. They are having the vehicle towed from yard to my allocated Panelbeaters shortly; and assessment will go from there. Super quick and easy to deal with and certainly don't muck around! Fingers crossed... Maybe..: sort of :/

Hey everyone. Thanks for the messages and kind words. I shifted through about 50 texts, calls and Facebook messages after it happened - it was sort of like I had a lost a member of the family, and to be fair I have. The cops were great to work with. The senior constable in. Charge turned to me and said in the 18 years on the job, never has he seen a women so distraught and upset about a car. So topped that record!! I've been to see it at the yard. It was pretty heart breaking. I'm hoping somewhere, someone can manage the fix for the insured value but it doesn't seem hopeful. It will most likely be a write off. Ray and his team are the only ones capable of achieving the job to perfection in bringing her back, but it's now a matter of time and money... The lady who hit me is at fault for the damage (go figure) and I'm pleased she walked out alright. Right now, my time is spent wondering how to get this beast back on the road, as I'm pretty shot my dream car was taken so soon.. It was a split thought of 'Friday's = No Traffic let's take it out' and I'm going to regret it everyday. Sure there are probably other cars out there, but this M3 was 'my' car, so it's still shattering. I will keep everyone updated, and thanks again for the support!

Jeez, It's been a whole month since I posted on here. M3 has been just chilling. Took her for a spin to Taupo and Back Last weekend of March. Just f**king brilliant. These cars never seize to amaze me. So much torque.. happily over taking a few snails in 6th gear. The parts are still sitting in the boot yet to be put in, not like me to wait around, but just haven't had time (or money haha) to invest too much more for now. Might start a GiveALittle Page for an M3 fund at the rate I want things done

Looking forward to more updates. This car is just.. Too much for words

Wicked White Friday?

Idiots forgetting how to drive. "Ah a spot of rain. Must progress to travel at slower speeds but closer to moving vehicle in front" Stuck in f**king traffic because of said idiots. 3 accidents and I haven't even cross the bridged going south

NAC are good for mods. I pay over $100 a month for the Schnitzer. Valued at $10k and have listed wheels only as a mod... M3. Few minor mods, and an U25 driver, $400 a year for cover a bit over $20k and that has unlimited Ks. How they price this sh*t up confuses me. Maybe NZI aren't the best in regards to price. Might also go on a hunt for new insurance company. Did you try that new company called Youi?

I've used obsession Wax, Euphoric and found that as the best for my Carbon Black M3 (and anyone who owns a black car will understand!) I've been through the works with Chemical Guys, Poor Boys, Meqs, Auto Glym etc etc and the Handmade wax was by far the best.. They also have ones for longer lasting etc, and as Richard said before, the team from OCDetailing/Attention to Detail live up to their rep. I got mine from www.unitedcarcare.co.nz Top guys, top brands and honestly, their results prove their products.

E46 M3.. It's just pure, uncomplicated raw power. And the bill to fix things is reasonably less

I probably don't need to mention which one is my favourite

Would you date someone because of what car they drive?
MISS BM replied to E30 325i Rag-Top's topic in Off-Topic
My last partner I dated when he had a Holden ute that was only going in a straight line 50% of the time. In saying that, I was attracted to him initially because he could drive. And that was the only reason I started talking to him I think if you drive a beetle, a form of feminine hatchback I will probably look the other way and secretly question which way the arrow points. Yeah I probably would consider what car they drive. But I'm lenient.. I guess it goes: if they have no money, are not working and sitting on their asses they wouldn't have a nice car in the first place...and you wouldn't bother going there -

Interesting. Being single, and allowed to browse around, a nice car does draw the attention, but then I have been told it's intimidating to have a female with a nicer car than the male... If I speak to you about a car and you give me a blank look, I'll talk to you in another life.
