Cheers guys for all the nice comments, I am more than happy with the result. Can safely say there is no E30 like it on this earth now

Just spent the last 4 hours doing this. Won't say too much because I am busy getting drunk for a 21st. Big thanks to Mark247 for his supply + help with installing the side pinstripes. And cheers Total BMW magazine for the sweet photos for me to copy the front design. Fiddly as job, took me a while to get angles right, not perfect but it isn't a show car, and have plenty left over if I need to redo any. Will be interested to see how edges hold up when washing etc. I coated them with superglue at the ends then coated them with anti corrosion protective spray wax. I will let the average, bad light, rushed pics do the talking, I am more than happy for $60, 4 hours and no beers required after all Cheers, Nath

Brand new white M3 wailing down Featherston St

^ @ Braeden Yeah I think I will just do that, might get a carry case too to make it easier. I don't need to transfer it too often, just when I want to ride Taupo etc. Lol at Simon

Cheers guys. I guess nobody has any they want to get rid of...

Does anyone know if there are racks out there for an E30 that are able to bolt a road bike to? I have had to make some tough decisions of late regarding my running future so I am looking to use my road bike more, so are there roof racks available to suit, or are there generic kits available to fit on to? And I only have the trusty E30 to use. The other option is I just put a tow bar back on the car but would like the cleaner look of having my bike on the roof. Any help is appreciated. Cheers, Nathan

I would have more fun putting pins in my eyes than driving around with those attached. -
M12, motor based on the M10

^ Sweet thanks Shelley. Managed to get some double pinstripe tape for the sides, and single pinstripe to replicate the front style.
-
I will be coming regardless, if the car gets a WOF Fri I will be there in the car, otherwise I will hitch a ride.
-
Yeap I thought that would be the case. What can I use to prep the surface before I stick the stripes on?
-
^ Should make use of those M52 parts I have under my house instead

Looks like I have opened a can of worms. Just really wanted some DTM mirrors but will save that for the real M3 haha. The price to get them here is a lot more than I have in my account.

Lets say that post was because my gf wants to add her 'personal touch' to the car If I did buy some others they would be colorcoded Cheers dude

There are also these ones, but I think they are a bit curvy for the boxiness of the Alpina kit. http://cgi.ebay.com/M3-WING-DOOR-MIRRORS-B...b#ht_1382wt_911

^ Haha cheers man, Lol @ anglepina. Payday tomorrow, present for getting the bucket of bolts done potentially: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/DTM-CUP-STY...s#ht_2008wt_864 Yes, no maybe? In fluro pink/purple...thoughts?

Top work Lucan, car is looking tits as always. Pic 8 is calendar worthy.

^ Cheers man, WOF this Friday, then I will put some decent pics up after a decent cut and polish. Dedication, more like perfectionist
-
^ Haha thanks Shelley, don't have much to lose. Maybe I should try finding something slightly fatter, thanks for the tips though. How hard can it be?
-
^ Yeah exactly. It is about $10 for a 10m roll of 6mm tape so not a lot at all. Yeah I PM'd Shelley a while ago, and she said she could replicate some from a picture for about $350. The fact of the matter is I have done 95% of the work on this thing myself so why not give it ago myself, for a small fraction of the price. The car needs respraying eventually anyway so it would be best to do it 'properly' if I wanted eventually after that. End of the day its a track(ish) car in a tidy(ish) shell, not a show car

This: + This: Finally given into pressure from several people (including myself) and going to make my own homemade stripes. I will do the exact front bumper design in the picture below, mainly because I already have the same colored car and the gold Alpina writing. The sides are however looking far to intricate to get right, so I will probably just do a single or double pinstripe gold line, but will give it a go once I get the kit. Here are some pics of what I have to work with: (the car is terribly dirty) Thoughts are appreciated, I will document the process. Cheers, Nathan
