On behalf. Not worried about vanos or non vanos although non vanos is prefered, Need a running motor complete with loom, ecu, afm etc. I am pretty sure the early motors without EWS are the ones to use for a E30 conversion. Need the motor that is the least hassle to transplant, E36's scare me and helping with this is scary enough Ideally freight isn't too much of an issue as long as one is willing to help deliver it on a pallet and help arrange to send it down at my cost. Am I asking to much for a budget of $1000 for the above not including shipping? Currently have found a local M52B25 but if that proves to be too much of a hassle to install we will be on the lookout for something more suitable. Any help is appreciated, leave a post or PM me.

Thread of the year Am watching now.

Well. Factor in a re vin and a cheap M20 and it doesn't look that silly after all when you look at how many E46 wagons are about. Just say'in

You should buy the silver E30 one on TM with the blown HG Em
-
Aside from the headlights, would def hit it.

Hahahaha

^ Do you know how low it is Jon before you totally muck up the rear geometry in a E30? Thoughts being maybe thats why my car still feels weird in the rear.

Brent knows more than most on here, so if he says it won't fit, it won't fit.

Thats why spacers are dangerous. Least you will get to fit your beloved wheels

Why not buy an E34 one.....

Braeden, my 2c. I say if you want a tidy shell, gof for it. It is far harder to find a tid e30 body these days, the motor and gear box personally should be less of a worry. Im no total expert but I check trade me etc everyday and have only seen a few tidyer than that one on there, both were sub 100km cars. Good luck, end of the day its not a huge amount of money and with any e30 its worth taking the risk

Bump, someone help fund several future mods.

25k is a lot of money for a e30...thats half a mint m3 If your not totally attached to it, and you don't think you will want to do something similar again, pass it on. It is probably the mintest e30 on here though, be sad to see it go.

^ Cheers guys, yeah I agree, next time I will go for 45's for sure, 10mm will make a massive difference.

Welcome to Bimmersport, sounds like a nice car you have. Once the weather shows a little more consistency (once in a lifetime) down here in Wellington we are planning having a meet/cruise sometime soon, you should come along in the M3

Badass. Big thanks to Blair (BRS) for sorting this out for me. Strictly for plastering on the car for photo shoots

What about something along the lines of this http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-251953174.htm or the diesel version. or this http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-248919286.htm

Is there any room for a notion to cut down on the amount of post-horeing that has been going on in the forum of late? I come on here usually once a day and I see the same 5 people posting stuff 'barely even warranting a post' on every thread that has been made. Just thought I would put it out there, and this seemed like the best place to do it. Cheers, Nathan

I paid 3k for mine 5 years ago, had done 160k and was manual, other than that it was identical to the one above.

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-253192271.htm Someone on here should buy this. It is too mint for some home boy from the east side to cannabilise. Exactly the same color, NZ new like mine, same options bar the auto box and nearly the same # plate as my old car before I turned it into a track car which I regret to this day, especially since I wrote it off. So someone buy it if your looking for a totally square, mint e30 Brings back awesome memories, don't find many this tidy anymore. Cheers, Nathan

If you have braided lines that have the specific stamp/markings on the hose, they don't need a cert correct? I have to attempt to get a warrant with mine in a week or so.
