So with uni exams currently on I have been spending a bit of time tidying up a bunch of stuff in the car and basically getting it sorted for a warrant in the next few weeks. Put some grill mesh covering the foglight holes in my front bumper, dyed parcel tray and speaker covers and refitted factory speakers underneath these. Have pulled the spring pads out of the rear and although I haven't driven it yet to fully settle the springs again, it seems to look much more in height proportion to the front, so I am well pleased. Have also got rid of a little rust under the sound deadening in the engine bay, added a E36 washer bottle after deleting the headlight washers. Basic things to come next are, front and rear strut braces, a Motor sport gear knob (on the way), some new front grills and a glove box lock (I am up to number 4 breaking on the two e30's I have owned ) , then a full coolant flush, brake bleed/E32 booster install and also a oil change and we should be back flying. Also I am keeping the Borbets the usual silver but am looking into adding some metallic gold Alpina stripes to the front and sides if I can secure some cheap enough. Anyway here is a few snaps of said improvements. Cheers, Nathan

^I guess it is horses for courses. It's funny the ones that have posted that are at uni currently have a far different opinion and perspective to those out in the workforce right now. And I think that my statement does depend on what industry you are in, pretty sure there isn't no one umbrella idealistic action for every employer in every industry.

Buy any generic rubber ones from supercheap, undo your accelerator pedal, cut a slit in the mat where the accel pedal would go, slide the accel pedal through your newly aquired hole in the mat, re fit clip on accel pedal, job done, and the mat won't keep moving. You will need a reasonably narrow mat though.

HB Matt, hope you have a good one

If you do have a gap year and go work, make sure you do SAVE, I know tons of people that have worked in a gap year, full time and saved F.A, so make sure you have self control, and these people have been left back at square one when they decide to go to uni the year after back with no savings. IMO stay for seventh form, was my 'easiest' year allround, plenty of fun to be had and you will gain U.E which if you don't get pretty much means you have to wait till your 21 to get into uni if you can handle that. Potential employers who were looking for people with uni degrees/graduates are more than likely looking for the fresh faced enthusiastic type as opposed to someone who f**ked around for 4 years after leaving school early then went and got a degree...so bascially if you want to go to uni, get it out of the way as soon as you can. But if you don't know if you don't want to go to uni atm, there is no point wasting $1000's a year on something you won't enjoy/unsure of, so wait till you do Hope that helps, ultimately it is your future and your decision

Hey James/anyone else who wants to PS for me, I need the 'outside' of the center of the wheel done too if you are looking at it front on, essentially everything bar the chrome dish.
