    Lens Tinting

workmanship is a big thing with tinting ya lights. Make sure to cover the rest of the light with newpaper and mask off the section you dont want to do. I just let Gareth (ipwnyou) borrow my tint spray the other day. All it is was stained glass window paint from Mitre 10 Mega. It comes in a spray can and althoguh I couldnt find candy apple red like people suggested I tried a more pinky red and it came out a treat, you can barely notice the difference. I'll see if I can get ahold of gareth to find out what brand / colour you should look for. Cheers Andy
  2. get some decent shocks should be your next big buy. Your've already bought lowering springs, should try get it right hte first time instead of trial and error which doesnt seem to have worked so far, tis an expensive process.
  3. Finding an E30 without rust is like a needle in a haystack really. Having looked at dozens of potential E30's to buy at prices right along hte scales I've found that generally most E30's arent in good condition. Problems iwth rust, leaks and rough running engines were quite common. Some characteristics I've noticed with nice E30's is: - Few owners (2-3) .. it only takes one person to neglect the car and hte more owners it has the more chances its had that an owner hasnt taken good care of it and its been determental to the ongoing health of the car. - service history - very important. If its been a genuinely serviced regularly for its whole life, you'll more than likely be looking at a very sound car. - Km's - often people think low km's is best, well with cars this age, low km's can mean very little. I know from experience, my low km (115km) engine died not long after I'd bought it, with such low km's and on hte original engine it seemed as though it hadnt been properly run in. Another thing with the higher km cars is that its probably had alot of the gear replaced anyway. - cambelts - be sure to check that its been changed at least within the last 20-30,000km's as these can sometimes be the life or death decision. - rust - rust is getting more and more common on these as time goes by, best to find out hte regular places and check for it when you look to buy.

    My new bmw

yeah, quite a few E30 diffs I would imagine would differ from factory as they're probably been round the block a few too many times and have needed reconditioning or replacement maybe, hence you get a few odd ones out.

  10. I'm going to have an E30 4 door facelift 325i coming through for 2 maybe 3 days tops days. I need as much help as I can get pulling it apart before my parents gets back from holiday as the parts are going to be used on my race car or as spares. Already got one person interested in helping, tools eg. socket sets and torque wrenches would be an advantage. So far I think all im after is dash both fenders boot bonnet headlights kidney grill valance both windscreens taillight brake discs and calipers dashboard good bits that would be on offer - - 14" wheels with good tyres (2 apparently brand new) - outer front grills - front seats no rips or tears I think - front and rear carpet door cards - 3 spoke SE steering wheel - trim panels - carpet - seat belts - 2 front and 2 rear doors with locks - boot lock - rear europlate surround - instrument cluster - sidemirrors - rear parcel tray - rear stoplight for all those that dont have one - 3.73 diff - 325i auto full drive shaft - blue rear lowering springs - 4 shocks etc - front springs - electric sunroof mechanism parts cheap or free, please ask. people that can help with labour will get preference on all bits. The prices above are pretty damn cheap I thoguht, if your interested in any of hte parts - the price is as above. Pickup only please. Date to do this is the 28th / 29th / 30th in Papakura, South Auckland. Car will be getting given to the wreckers on the 30th/31st.

pretty sure I just saw a speed camera in the back of a Hyundai Sonata out back roads of Papakura, not your typical speedcamera vehicle.
