i always thought about a map ecu, newer injectors and a retro fit of uk ecu and an o2 sensor and maybe a bump of compression to make the ol m30 a bit more efficient.Too hard with a daily driver though praps sometime in the future(and maybe slightly higher gearing)

these are really solid cars.If they havent got any rust theywont get any now. They drive really nicely ,and a manual one is fun (unless you have to do stop start commuting cos the clutch is heavy) and for the money you spend to get them they are good value. The interiors are good quality except for the headlinings, and the door panels

intersting sports kit, auto and manual air con...seems to be no end of combinations!....ahh its an imported one speed do etc in miles(non sports wheel to not dissin just sayin!

that could expalin it,it wil pass small currents(lights in dash etc but not large current drains(elec windows, starting etc)often referred to as fusible link?

like the look of the second one.Dont like the wheel tyre combo(looks like they have fitted too low profile tyres) of the first one or the fact its missing the screen/stereo.

The RUC do take the gloss of initial purchase of deisel, but if deisel was taxed at the pump the same as petrol the effect is the same.It doesnt change the fact that deisels are very efficient. It looks as though the open road consumption of the 120D will be around 50 mpg.I havent had the opportunity yet to see what it does round town.It will be interesting because a lot of the running of this tank has been short trips,4 people in the car, across the city etc.A 530d m,sport would be an interesting proposition, esp a manual.

you may find a 528 manual in touring or sedan thought they are rare.I have never ever seen a 530 manual. The 530 goes well and can be surprisingly economical on gas

This guy is the same guy that started me on my search for my 535is many moons ago.Purely by chance(i guess it wasnt chance) he came round to look at my 535 when i had it on TM.His car has very nice wheels body work and has the map ecu in it.The cloth seats have seen better days.Def better throttle response than a std 535.Thsi was a welly car once, now has returned again.

i can see joey, ross and rachels house!.Hope all are well B

glas things worked out.Teh 5 series make a great NZ road trip car, just the right mix of limo/sport looks like the coolant hasnt been kept fresh on that car...,cheap insurance for waterpumps and overall system efficiency, change every two years along with the brake fluid

total guess but the fact that voice commands dont work seem to point to the mic....it does have voice control???.It may have the button on the wheel but it may not be active. My 120 has the button on the wheel but it does not have voice control

i think the 540 seems to be more prone to these sort of issues too if the interweb is to be beleived

you should you have a power(255 vs 230kw) advantage and a significant weight advantage(2180 vs 2602),but he has torque to burn 750nm vs 480nm
