true...but not as expensive as not doing anything with it
-
if every thing else was the same you would get to the same top speed but it would take longer..in the end it is drag that limits top speed(assuming the runway is long enough)
-
dont go to the dealer then....some of the bmw muffler and resonator and cat are very creative shapes
-
gio to pit stop or something like that..thay do "equivalents"
-
ollie is suggesting that that link is no longer valid....
-
thanks for the heads up...
-
alpina type stripes and wheels with Schnitzer badgng and number plates.....identity crisis
-
welcome Carl...There are still some Nice e30 around still. Some at least as nice as your car I would say....The NZ car scene is very different to most other countries as any one can import any thing they like(well they could)
-
I dont think it would fail unless it was REALLY LOUD....see my post at the top of the page...
-
you just need to fill your car with 91 then top it up with this stuff to "make" 95 or 96......if you cant sell it...
-
I will see what mine cost....
-
suspension parts arent too bad...most common is control arms and bushings..when the bushes go you get a "shimmy" at about 90 km hr...new bushes will fix it,but ussually the ball joints go soon after so replace arms at the same time...a nice NZ new 535 manual will prolly be a bit more than 3000.Come and have a look at mine if you like some time
-
does that discount apply to any car club or only Canterbury?...
-
the bmw track day prolly wont be quite so "loose".The reason for this is that if something unfortunate was to occur the club could be in big trouble....
-
thanks mate....
-
prolly some module to be added sio the trailer lights dont F*&k up the system
-
hahah i used to have an excel sheet to compare cars power to weight, max torque, max torqur revs,torque/weight a etc etc...it had a serious weighting for cars with more than 200 kw....ioe fun factor
-
go here look for post by gale..he has done so many trans swaps i am sure he has lists of stuff and how to rectify trans error messages etc
-
FWIW my 535 has a different rear muffler and or resonator delete..I am not sure but is much louder than stock,so much so that it annoys me some times but...I got a WOF at a vehicle testing station and no mention was made of it.There was a HSV there too with a big bore, his was maybe just a wee bit louder than mine at idle..(just for a point of reference)

if you want a manual ..wait.... they do come along, and nice ones too!You dont say what your budget is.Kms arent a worry, but certain things do need replacing at 160-200 k intervals....My advice is to get the absolute best car you find...auto or manual http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-173688039.htm http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-173306130.htm http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-172913725.htm http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-172144644.htm http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-171969751.htm http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-170828304.htm http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-160794580.htm there is no shortage of manual e 34 at the moment. If you want everything in a 535 wait for a NZ 535 is.I disagree with the comment about air con.its the best way to keep the car fog free in the winter, and i would now never have a car without it.even in welly! look on the web for a site called e 34.net,its being rebuilt at the moment. These cars are prolly more intensive to keep going nicely than a totyota or honda but they last for ever if kept in good nick.unfortunatrely a lot havent

and bmws are worth much more over there...so you will be taxed at a rate equivalent to what your car is worth in the aussie market.
-
there are at least 4 535 manuals on TM at the momnt....there may be a couple of 535 is still too(sports seats body kit lsd etc)
-
welcome we have quite a few e34 here so between us we should be able to help you out.

i t depends on what you mean by reliable.....BMW are NOT as reliable as yoer average jappa,or should i say they do need a bit of preventative maintenance program. You need to make sure that this maintenance has been carried out,esp if ypu buy a car with a few ks...which you may need to do based on your budget...

so you have only one park light(or only one side)???Make sure you havent got the indicator turned on....you may have the "park light on one side feature",activated by having the indicator stalk pushed hard to the right(rhs only) or hard to the left(lhs only).car and other lights turned off
