if you give the vin to them they should be able to give it to you...they are are a bit reluctant thogh.The build sheet will show if it has sports suspension.There is also a way to measure it >your car should also sit a bit lower than non m spec cars,but a hell of a lot of 540s seem to be m spec cars...

the m3 will give its best at higher rpms,but i am sure thats not right!

the guy obviu0ously has lots of dosh,but is spending lots too..what a story,i flickrd through the building of the m5,only got to spa in the m3 one read a wee bit of the trip write up in the m5..sh*t those e 39 m5 look awesome!

I agree to some extent,however as my car is a "proper" m sport car i feel i should some way of showing it....the prevalance of //m bages on every BMW actually convinced me to take mine OFF.The seats shadowline etc speak for themselves....

the 540 should have it,my 1990 535 has!(roll up windows and close sunroof).You guys should read the manul,there is probably heaps of stuff you dont know about!

how do you quantify such things.....nice e34 535is manual say 6-7k?? nice e34 540 six speed 12 14?? nice e34 m5...seems to be 20 25??.... where do you fit a alpina into that.... as to the gearing,didnt BMW do exactly the same for the 535is and the 3.6 M5 and again for the 3.8M5??? whadaya reckon with those figures?

the m30 can have problems with oil feed to the cams... The little oil feed tubes can get squashed by overtighening the banjo bolts

hmmmmm i guess all the lights come on when the engine stops... abs light doesnt come on in mine ,this can be caused by variations in tyre sizes back to front or side to side,dont know why this should stop engine though...you say you have taken of cam cover,do you mean valve cover?The banging sounds like timing out,blue smoke,because timing is out,would suggest something in the cam/timing has gone but the M30 is a chain....tensioners could go...the 3.0 litre six is the another version of M30.

with that horsepower you would be talking a med case one I guess.With tht E30 weight i guess you dont need a large case one

describe in a little more detail what actually happened......

low voltage can play havoc with these cars....get the battery checked at an auto electricians...i think its in the boot of your car.

thats a nice car ..pity you have to sell after all that work(and time and money) explain to me the adjustable part of your suspension.Is it adjutable for height and or camber or ?......
