bullshit, sports seats hold your ass pretty well, you must be going insanely fast to have this problem on the road

beauty is in the eye of the beholder 3 pedals....there is more to car ownership..i am sure that there are many e 24 and e 28 owners who look on the e34 with disdain. It too received popular acclaim in its time.An M kitted E34 look fantastic as far as I am concerend as does an M kitted e39.Cars are purey SUBJECTIVE in a lot of areas
-
havent done it yet mate....
-
the 2.8 woul have pretty much the same output as the M30 mark...
-
thats always an option,as is a nice e34 540 or maybe manual 328-330 or even 530(d)
-
will have to be a minter for me to go any further...will ask more questions if i need too.I belong to an awesome e34 board.....dont know much about e 39 I doubt the m62 is lighter than the M54(?) 2.8/3.0,maybe lighter than m30 edit m54 = 170 kg m62 = 219 or 221 kg...thats a big difference!

the e34 ue h1 bulbs so the units arent sealed...the washing described above cleans the reflectors and the projectors
-
basically thats how chips work....advancing the timing can be a recipe for disaster..I would use Mr E34 methods!!!

I need someone to go and look at this car for me....if its as close to immaculate as a approx 10 yr car that has had a very good life should be then.....If you go look Braeden can you tell me what you think of it.If you decide you want it yourself you have first shot at it.

wot...OB 6pm Tonite?or what
-
I found out the same as you guys.....I guess you can buy as many or as few ACS bits as you like...However its still a 540/6 so its still some cred. The guy also told me that it had a PP so all stories add up to the same so far.

HELP !!! On board computer, indicator lights, instrument p
kiwi535 replied to mtk540's topic in Maintenance
after a bit of searching it seems that "the electrical portion of the ignition switch" can cause problems .Common on e39....maybe mention that to CH CH bmw at some time....low battery voltages can also play havoc with the elctrical systems..maybe get battery checked too.Glad to see we were able to help -

dont worry....I have heard of this before and think the fix is easy.. -
perhaps the r series bmw bike should be there somewhere...
-
I am not trying to be negative here...also consider that 19 and Twenties will be Hella expensive compared to 17 >And very difficult to get in Gisborne on news years eve after you have destroyed your other rear tyre running it flat for a kilometer(very very easy to do on a low profile tyre)
-
Beers.....when.maybe a welly meet before we have to go back to work.....I have the whole month off!!!! Oh and HB Ian
-
great, imagine this thing cutting in half way through an overtaking manouevre.
-
the timing chain tensioners may be different, and if they go they can destroy head, pistons and valve train even the bores. Apparently though a "proper one." has very good torque at lower revs and amazing power above 4500.We are talking 250 kw!. What is the situation with these cars.Could you bring it in now and theoretically register and use when 20 yrs old???Or wait till 20 yrs old and bring one then???
-
No thats penry,s(ex) 740....the car the wheels came off
-
Midas will be able to offer you some advise. They can source replacement "Std" exhausts so can compare what you have got to a std one....I suggest you need a complete rear muffler,or a slightly smaller one if you want a bit of "tone"
-
fwiw the first one....leather sport seat ftw....although with petrol as it is the merc could be the go....
-
just to qualify this....i have driven two 540 six speeds. At least one of these cars had had a relatively hard life for the last couple of years...in fact had sat waiting for a new clutch because owner couldnt (or didnt want to spend the $$$).The other one was ok.Neither were in equal cond to my 535.The M60 is night and day far superior to the M30,even in sixth on a slight uphill(The long uphill straight on SH1 just before Johnsonville) a gentle push and hold of the gas had the 540 doing 160 in no time...This was 540 no1. However both 540,s had very "wooden" brakes and steering compared to my 535 That and the fact that neither were in better condition decided me to keep the 535 The first 540 i drove was definetly quicker than the second.....

i have neard that just washing the whole assembly in a solution with detergent and kerosene works,or even putting them in a dishwasher!
