if you want a bmw/euro plate thats the price....look on personalised plates,you dont see the bmw brand plate.The only way to get them is through the dealer

cleaning the INSIDE of my headlights.....no.But i beleive it improves things.Have you?How I have heard different techniques.I beleive i have metal/glass units.

i would not say the 540 would be more reliable than a 535.Its a more modern engine and it will be a slightly newer car,but the V8 is a pretty tight fit in the e34 engine bay.I advise you to look and get the best car you can afford.but be warned,once you have driven a 540.......

like you the low beams of my e 34 are hopeless.I ahve considered a hid kit,but i am dubious about the kits that put a hid bulb into the std housing,the light source and shape is completely from the H1 bulb it replaces.Most hid kits push the long HID bulbs out the back of the housing.If like me you have limited room behind the headlights I dont know that they would fit.I know this isnt specific help but hopefully will put you in a position to ask some pertinnent questions.Will they let you return them?less P and P of course!

yes the 6 k is a special mates rate...I love the 535 on the open road,i would love to try it in the speed(and the roads) it was designed for which i think on our cars is 140-180.the slightly lower gearing would make it a weapon even in 5th!

the only manual i have seen(i know there have been a few 540 six speeds) was an M5!

dont take this the wrong way..just let me understand.You guys are so determined to get that ultra low look,is it the wheels tucked into the guards,or almost dragin on the ground or both... you are prepared to totally give away practicality to get the look?Do you sit real low in the car too? practically...you cant go over speed bumps,you cant go up driveways,you cant angle park with out staying completey away from the kerb,you cant park in parking building unless yu stay way back from the wall(cos of the wheel stop munchin your front bar.) the weather isnt that bad,but that particular branch had already(unknown to me) partially split off the trunk.I beleive 6 k is a bit cheap,and 10k would be max..but as you say it all depends who is shopping.When i bought it it was exactly what i wanted,i didnt realise at the time it was so rare....i only looked at manuals and all were the same spe(even the first english import i looked at).I dont really know what to replace it with.A 540/6 would be nice but has to be t least as nice as mine,and the two i looked at down here werent. Am considering an e 39 but all but one i have looked at are autos.The only manual one i have seen happens to have a 300 kw v 8 in it !

but none of you have said what you think a fair price is! 235 000 kms as SI said NZ new,sports seats(electric)LSD,Mtech suspension,"climate control,cd player in boot,completely stock....one of the so called 535is or HD12 series cars.The only thing mine doesnt have that the others do is the ski bag option. Sorry for delay,a branch broke of a tree out the front yesterday and took out the phone line(and the window!)

alright then....what do people think a nice 535 is is worth....mine for example.Interior would be one of the best i have seen,mileage is about 235,000,but i service it religiuosly,recently had new radiator and front control arms. I am seriously considering selling...I dont think anything lower than six... some pics here other pics will be found on BS.

there is still the red/black one isnt there.5k would be minimum for a nice manual i would think.I have absolutely no reason for making that remark of course!
