  1. easiest way would be to get a pretty complete dereg or damaged car and swap everything over.If you want 3 ltr or more, the nz equivlent cars are 535i6 or 540v8,and there was also a 3.0 v8.You might even find a 3.0i6 litre version of the 3.5(it will be a pommy import)
  2. he is a tool.....a funny tool tho,i dont take any notice of what he says about the cars at all.Bleats on for minutes about having to set this and that and this on the M5,where in reality you can just jump in and drive away.
  3. i am prolly barking up the wrong tree but the new tyre siez should relate to the ORIGINAL tyre size so that your speedo doesnt go out of whack(too muh)Ie the overall diameter of the original tyre and the new tyre is the same, they call that plus three if you go from a 14 to a 17....on my car a 235 45 17 is the same diameter as the original 15 in tyre I realize that may not be your intention!
  4. do we call you guys the ultra slabd?
  5. wow they are low profile tyres.....what size are they!?
  6. at 100 per barrell maybe not...but i hope it does come with the new hi tech systems to make it GREEN and Smokin!
  7. i quite like it...except the headlights, they dont match in at all!
  8. mr e34 is right...i am a pretty economical driver (i think about it),i dont thrash my car around town and on the open road i use momentum a lot,but i am not afraid to take advantage of passing opportuniies...3rd gets used sometimes. However my last trip from Tauraunga to Wellington three up returned about 24 mpg(11.4 l 100 k) according to my obc...my average for the time i have had the car is 19.9 mpg(14.3 l 100 k)HOWEVER i think the obc is quite pessimistic on my car because when i do the calculations manually i get different figures..I can easily get from wgtn Tauraunga on a tank..which works out to a min of 25 mpg or 11.3...in reality i drive around for a few days before i throw in the customary 62 litres more detail of "blue 540" ray!manual?,sports seats?km??....
  9. i thought the offsets were somewhat different
  10. ahhh dynapack dyno so thats not quite correct either.....the dynapacks calculate a PS horsepower figure I beleive. My 535 measured about 140kw at rear wheel, but apparently this is not correct....i thnk there is a pot about this earlier in this thread around where i published my results.
  11. what is the other "cd player" in the boot?

    liquor ban info

there isnt any sense to it Emma but the line has to be drawn somewhere.....just keep n eye on the news. Its also true that alcohol has undesireble effects on young brains.
  14. the "home" "articles" 'forum' buttons seem a bit clerer to me....thats all i can spot tho...
  15. generally my e 34 has been very reliable, but i do get it serviced regularly. As The others have said tho the E34 too is now an over 20 year old design, and are not easy on the gas.the 535 is a very nicely balanced car,the m50 525 would be pretty good but the six speed 540 wow.... .They wont use any more gas than a 535,IMHO not quite as well balanced tho(the two I have driven dont feel quite as nice overall as my 535,but fantastic engine)
  16. came in to wellington once late at night from aussie, was a 767 i think.was quite windy so lots of turbulence and side slipping etc, pilot absolutely planted it on the tarmac, roughest landing ever. When i got home every one was surprised as the airport was theoretically closed!

    Style 39s

you could buy them from a dealer but they will be expensive...of course selling the old ones will offset that. however i am prety sure these wheels wont fit your car
  20. you have the map 2 version correct???How long does the tuning process take?did you get a MPG improvement.Do you get a decrease in co2?
  21. pure guess...std 535 prolly not,NZ 535is probably. You can get your build sheet from a BMW dealer by giving them the vin. They might give you the build sheet (options) if your car has lsd it will be listed there
  22. isnt there a place in Auckland that can fix them.
