    17" BMW mags

20 mm most probably and they will have a hub diameter of 74.1.Most other 5 6 7 and 8 series have 72.5 but this can be put right with hubcentric rings
  3. keep looking as brent said the majority of e 34 will have very little rust.Be patient you will get a manual one too.

poltics.....must be a relatively low consumption and co2 emmisions....and enough room wich apparently was the deciding factor, plus a purchase price of $90 000 with two years and free servicing(TV3).As for BMW point of view, look at the publicity they have already got out of it !

Also consider the fact they are still running around our roads....I have often wondered what the energy input of manufacturing a new car is compared to running an older one.I wonder if the hybrids are more energy intensive to produce? The manufacturers could consider a program where a new engine and ecu is transplanted into an otherwise perfectly good car.ie a worn out M30 could be replaced with a 3.0 deisel or a 3.0 petrol
  6. ring any "freight forwarders".....yellow pages.quite cheap from port to port, something like US170 per m3 or part thereoff, but all the other charges are on top.was gonna get some wheels from US or germany once. The sea freight is quite cheap
  7. good work, glad to see you have it sorted...not for me tho
  8. do you have the option of taking the nav out of the current car and putting into the new one?
  9. jochen was the man here...although it is controlled frrom the i drive the whole system seems similar to aearlier sytems. The nav computer lives (probably) in the boot somewhere.Japanese e 39s need their computer replaced.Sounds like yours is the same. Maybe the guys here can recomend someone who does this sort of thing. Then you need to get a computer and get it swapped with yours.Jochen would say EASY!.Where are you located?
  10. from what Jochen has said you will probably need a new computer only.....like this one,and may be a new plug or two....does your car have TV?Again from what Jochen says its much easier if you already have TV http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...594239&rd=1
  11. Mine had four registered owners before escaping from the big smoke to Wellington...a previous owner told me it was pretty quick around taupo.!!
  12. all you see is a big plastic cover, and a few bits and peices

    last in first out
  14. just swap from front to back now and then, not from front to back and side to side, this just puts the already worn edge in to the alternative wearing edge.
  15. i think most m5s didnt have the spoiler, however the poor mans M5 the 535is ussually did

the parking space isnt quite as tight as it looks.Getting out the first few times is quite interesting!
  17. pretty rad in its day I am sure.Wonder what the four cars parked down near the entrance are
  18. If the policemn was doing a u turn in the Buller Gorge proper,he probably couldnt have completed it in one swing,he my have completed a three point turn! As for the tourist one has to ask why she went of the road in the first place. Its a terrible thing she will have to face for the rest of her life.Let it be a lesson to all of us.Pay 100 per cent attention to the task at hand AT ALL TIMES
  19. [shudder] twin spoke walnut steering wheels[/shudder]
  20. fair enough i guess...its a pain when you are looking for a car ...accessories,I see your point
  21. just a genuine question not directly related to your wheels...why the keyword M5 in your ad?I look throught the ads now and then to keep an eye on E39 M5 prices, and i get so much stuff UNRELATED to M5,s.Why the reference to M5?
  22. sounds like it could be the "fusible link"They get a crack in them and cant flow high currents intermittently. One of the failure modes is windows and sunroof...look on e34 .net
  23. getting parts for M30 isnt hard....its been around for AGES.Sounds like its only good for its engine and box anyway.. It wont be a 78....the 635 was a relatively late versionof the e24,could be a 628 or 633?
  24. Welcome Bruce
