the service routine is oil service,inspection 1,oil service,inspection 2 and so on.So if it says inspection its due for a inspection one or inspection 2.If it was an oil service it says oil service.And then there is the annual inspection(little clock symbol).

yeah i know that Darryl,but BMWNZ knew them as HD12,s and one guy described them as "special" cars.......but how many?At one time i heard five but i dont think thats right as that would mean at least four of them are here in welly!

i think there are a few imports too.BMW nz may be able to tell you how many there are.As far as i know we only got the 3.6,we didnt get the 3.8 so from 92-93 the 540 was the ultimate 5

at the risk of being labelled a hijacker how many nz new 535iS,s?.I dont think they were badged or even called sports here but they had the body kit etc mtech etc???.I know of three on this site and they are all in wellingtin!(maybe a fourth too)

my 535 has an AFM which has a great big vane in the air intake.Your car has either a heated wire or heated strip of metal in the intake.The system also has air intake temp sensor,and by comparing the two readings(ie air temp and voltage required to keep the intake "wire " at a certain temp) the ammount of air going through the intake is calculated.......your system is less restrictive' Is that right Gus?

the most important things that have been said 1) overall condition is absolutely indicative of how its been treated in the past. 2)Make sure that you get any BMW checked by someone who knows what they are looking at. You have to decide what is important to you,but take your time and drive as many cars as you can before you plonk down your cash....but i dont think any of us would deny that BMWs cost more to keep than hondas and toyotas......

you will look a long time b4 you find another one.Its actually an special aussie model only 70 were built.The other 540 manuals you may see are mere 540 is's not 540 i LE's.

stuff the 0 100 the 80 120 tell the real story about what the car would be like..i bet thats one of the fastest 80 120 times too.....

if you have a fire in the car i think the possibility of corrosion or wire damage from the powder is the least of your worries.....must get one on the front seat rails like cain...

you looked behind the trim on the lhs???

in the E34 the amp lives in the boot mounted vertically behind the trim on the LHS looking into the boot.....It looks like a metal box with a stack of wres going into it.I will have a search on the ETK to see if I can find where it lives in a E39 Emma it appears the amp is in the same place on the e39....
