Big day for me today.....about 68 litres petrol kaching $102 regisstration ka ching $200 warrant $40 Warrant failed Leaking exhaust(2 places he reckons) ka ching $......... Uneven rear brake balance 320/230,whatever those number mean,probably a corroded rear wheel caliper/piston $ka ching are the calipers on an e 34 different to "other cars",can i get a rebuild kit or get them recoditioned somewhere? where to go for exhaust repair/replace/parts???? (in Welly)

i very seldom rev to redline,but at least once a week its gets a real workout heading south from the ngauraunga exit of the m/way onto the old hutt road,besides unless it sfirst or second it,d be speeding. I hate redlining in first ...ouch my sister took my car for a drive and she floored it in first and it went straight to the rev limiter,she said it didnt feel very fast in first.....

cain is not against the auto side of it,he is against the downside of autos,the tourque converter...i wish cars had constant mesh gearboxes like motorbikes.....with really short travel clutches.... or clutches integrated into the box so as soon as you move the lever the clutch engages automatically(make that disengages)...my mate always says...but paul you can drive a auto like a manual.....and i say well if you drive like that why not have a manual how do the smg dsg etc work in stop start or really slow traffic.when you are going slower than idle in first .....porche could make a fortune if they sued every one who used tiptronic in their ads

try a "standard " overhaul first,as Carl said bad fluid, slightly leaky cylinders,corroded ,calipers, pistons,pins that the calipers slide on..... all taking away from efficient operation

ahhhhh yes some of the colours i have never seen......At the taupo track day bruce from whangarei had a e 34 m5 which seemed to be black but at other times a very very dark purple......It was awesome sitting behind him,idling waiting for the brake exercises.sounded sorta like hundreds of horses waiting to break free......

no no and no,there are only //M cars or NOT. There is no in between. Its an M1 M3 M5 or an M6 period

try here and here.Let us know what you find out.In my experience most BMW,s with extra lights have proper fog lights,ie facing down,flood lamps I dont have an issue with proper fog lights but some cars have lights that are justa pain in the retina,commodores,4wd with there fog lights mounted high on their bull bars.....you just dont need 220 watts driving through the suburbs

i think a few porkys are being told here all done by BMW Its all from germany mtech stuff 50mm clearance no daily driver atm skid plate underneath ha how many times will i get pulled over this weekend I dont want to change it for the track this weekend
