i am not complaining I was actually quite pleased with the cars consumption,just the nice round 90 dollar ammount.The ol M30 is not as efficient as the more modern engines and is also penalised with a slightly lower gear ratio than the ealier versions of the big six,100 ks is 2250 rpm,9 l/100kms is 31.4 mpg.I think the 635 turns about 1800 rpm at 100 ks......

I thought that was pretty good actually.....just 90 bucks is a bit too close to $100....ussually just put in around 80 lately.

Filled up last night with 68 litres of 91,cost $90.....really mixed week.I filled up at Taihape on Sunday,had picked Mum up at Palmerston North and met my sister at Taihape to return my Mum to Tauranga.I drive about 80 ks a day mostly 100ks but lots of traffic lights,(Wellington/Upper Hutt)this week had a huge traffic jam,a coupla short city runs before the usual run to work....10.8l/100,9.3km/l,26.2mpg

yep red on a light coloured car,smoke belongs to the front indicators on a darker coloured car.....

Mmake sure you get it checked out mate!A budy of mine bought one and he spent a absolute fortune on the gearbox!Not sure who the Wellington experts are .

Sunday 26 June Family Multisport Event – Manfeild 1.5km circuit 10.00am This will be a fun day for all the family and will all take place on the small circuit at the back of Manfeild. A number of events are being planned for the day and anyone from your family who can drive can come along and participate. It is planned as a fun day with lots of prizes and giveaways and we encourage you to come along and bring your family. A lunch will be provided and the cost per car will be $40. Spoke with Steve Donnell today re some club stuff.He asked me if i was going and i realised it has kind of "snuck" up on me,I am going and will try to get Mary and Amy to go too,there a kind of gymkhana theme..$40 per car not per person......multiple drivers is the idea for the day.We will have use of the Manawatu Car Club rooms and apparently a decent lunch will be part of the price.You must email Steve to "enrol".but PM me or email me and i will make a list ala Carl...(Birthday Boy). The entry to the circuit is on the Kawakawa? road side of the circuit turn right just after the road from Sanson to feilding merges with the road to Arahuiri?to feilding Paul

500 bucks aint too bad depending on how much time you actually get in the thing.If you do a few laps at speed yoy can do some serious wear to your tyres.If you can afford it or justify it i would do it,get some time in a nice car and driver training is as much about attitude and behaviour not just physical driving skills/car control......

its the oxygen sensor that varies the mixture to optimum,cause too richa mixture will kill a cat as does other things.Carl is right most NZ new Bmw were cat free until the mid nineties when we swapped to lead free petrol.Cains car NOT included.Wether or not you can use that info to your advantage is another story.When you ripped the cat out carl did you take the o2 sensor as well??

if you ask a bmw dealer he will say a headlight assembly but you can get a retro fit ring....check the web......what year is your 520????

Carl re our conversation the other day...some guys have done the z3 instal on the E34 but the Z8 is apparently the way to go...do you guys do the lever and cups only or more???
