Slight detour from sh1 will bypass bulls etc,zip across to bunnythorpe and ashhurst, then either go down to welly via shannon,or via the saddle, the gorge,or the track,go down via the wairarapa

Unfortunately the ruc adds 5 c a kilometre to your fuel bill, even for my 45 l fill thats about $30 I reckon you will go over 1000 k to the tank, and you have the torque and the range to keep you happy -

When I saw it was was as good as new.At that time it woulda been the cleanest e34 in NZ -
Arent there demerit points applicable now? My 1000cc 60 hp r100 is prolly slower than a modern 300

There is an acc component when you buy petrol at the pump.there is no or less acc component in the diesel price You pay the difference in rego, just like motorbikes. It costs me 1000 to register my bike and car for a year

Page European Home St city. Hataitai would be good, Mt Vic,10 min walk to Cortenay pl.You can walk everywhere in the cbd. Trouble with welly is a hell of a lot of houses dont have garages. Northland/Wilton is also close to town, bus service quite good to wilton end there good afternoon sun.Kelburn is a funny suburb, lots of student flats but other good rentals as well, again garaging rare. Lots of serviced apartments along the terrace, may get a rental place up there,2 minutes to lambton quay, but again garaging hard to get.

the reason RUC is stated above, its for all the big diesel vehicles that dont actually drive on the road. And if you think maintaining roads is expensive try building one.Your one million dollars might get you 1 kilometre. Its for the diesel consumed by the vehiles that build the raods etc so that system isnt going to be scraped. What wwe have to do is get the system rejigged for small efficient cars. The ruc rate for my 2.0 diesel is a mere few cents less than my brothers 4.5 diesel land cruiser.Where is the rational for that.It should literally be half

national park then paraparas, twistier than coast, west side lake taupo,ok,i kike the desert road if there isnt too much traffic, east coast is good if you have the time, vinegatr hill is windy, through the wairarapa is good ,.anything of sh1 is better than sh1. it also depends on how much you like(or dislike gravel.Do i need to go on?

E34 are funny to sell.when I sold mine the only people who actually came to look at it already had e34s,and the other was a guy who had approached me previuosly cos he wanted the manual.inthe end it only went cos I included the big bbs wheels in the price.
-
I reckon with some careful booking you could do it yourself cheaper, you can get 29 flights chch welly, bus or train to palmy, tank of gas and web fare on ferry, done!
-

Quite true, tho a well known spec in nz,the bmw dealers called them that.My 1990 535 was registered as such -
Moved on?,debatable,i would argue that a manual is lighter, cheaper, more durable, gives better fuel economy, and more control.I am talking of the torque converter type, not dsg, smg, etc.
-
there is more to it than AUTO and manal.I want direct mechanical connection between engine and rear wheels therefore I will choose not to own a torque converter auto. in the forseeable future there wont be an torque converter in my garage,BMW or not
-
I just wait, there are manuals, just be prepared to act quickly when one comes along
