The 535 had a sticker in the fuel flap saying 91 ron.i only used. Higher for the occasional trip or for ghymkhana etc It did feel nicer with 95 and got slightly better economy,prolly same $ per km

Valve seals mean you will burn a little oil,and have a smoky exhaust after a period of overun I would imagine that mechanically it wont be any less durable than a e 39,but you have a more complex car,and more electronics

Afaik the washers work every 5 th time the windscreen washwrs are used If the lights are on.i also think the headlight washers work when"intensive clean" is used.

They dont have unlimited resources.many of you complain about prices as it is! For my part I bought the 120d of jeff gray (used)in Wellington,and was e-mailed regularly with offers,like alpine experience etc,no car launches though.overall I felt I was treated well.

There is an outfit in Auckland who will make exactly what you want,make sure they are clipped down,the velcro pads give up the grip

the 120 d used to do about 17 k between services but it was 25 k trips at a time.The service indicator recognises the sort of running i beleive.Shorter stop start runs would be shoeter i beleive.Of course Mr BMW sets his service routine in the beleif it will use the proper synthetic LL01(or whatever) oil,not some cheap 20 50 from repco(or whatever)

same I park in the far far corner of the carpark,i think most that do are like minded.obviously if its always busy/full this wont work,but I cant undetstand the need to park as close as possible to the extent some do,dribing around or double parking to wait

120 had an oil change today,jeff gray told me that that they woulda fixed it,no guarantees tho.not sure what that means.new owner will get a half worn tyre with a screw in it in the hatch!
