i dont know why or which option was the "trigger" point for the auxillary attery,it sat behind the lh boot liner, looking into the boot. The cars that have that option have a slightly different boot liner setup. The previous owner of my car didnt know it had an aux battery 200 KATALYSATOR - ENTFALL (no catalytctic converter) 209 LIMITED SLIP DIFFERENTIAL (25%) 226 SPORTS SUSPENSION SETTINGS 291 BMW LM SCHMIEDERAD/KREUZSPEICH (alloy wheels) 302 ALARM SYSTEM 320 MODEL DESIGNATION, DELETION (no model badge) 335 M TECHNIC SPORTPAKET (mtech body kit, front spoiler skirts, rear wing, aero rear bumper cover) 339 SATIN CHROME (matt black finish around windows instead of chrome) 401 SLIDING/VENT ROOF, ELECTRIC 458 SEAT ADJUSTMENT, ELECTRIC. there was absolutely nothing wrong witthe brakes on my 535i.Had the best brakes of any car i had till then. The 120d is even better

i have none, and have never ever considered one.I dont have any thoughts on them either way.I wonder why people do it.

the market has spoken(or not)
-
normal. It is wierd because its only consistently done it for the last couple of weeks. It has done it on and of before. It was the guy att he service counter who suggested that it may be the plate surround
-
big job.removed the front number plate surround, cos it seems to be just in the field of view of the front pdc...dont laugh,i would engage reverse and the front sensor would go off with no obstruction..Since the number plate surround is off have had no false alarms. So if you have a 1 series with a tendency for false alarms on front pdc take of your front number plate surround!

my e34 had a din 66 which is nearly twice as big as most modern car battries AND it had a 25 amp hour(big motorcycle battery size) auxilary battery in the boot
-
clean the rear screen?
-
the hatch back is a versatile shape though....you can get a washing machine in the hatch with the seats down!
-
i got a hella for the e34 .I think i inquired about a din 66 but after looking at some info he had and then checkin the owners manual i got a bigger one.I left the park lights on all day once and it still started!
-
are the new ones turbo?
-
agreed,it would be this or a discount big enough to cover any and every scenario. To be able to quantify that it needs to be diagnosed properly.

nice ad,agree with your thoughts re 5 series vs 3 series value, awesome family cars i reckon.
-
prolly a bit over the odds but its the only 535d on TM and very low mileage even allowing for mile/km..still a m5 or 550 can be had cheaper!

pretty sure mats are NLA from the dealer, there is a place in Auckland that will make you mats, make a template and send it...I am sure some of the Auckland guys will know who.Make sure you incorpaorate some decent fixings,so the mats dont move round.!

the routine parts are probably slightly more expensive than genuine parts for any other make. Some genuine parts may be(i was quoted $1000 for a genuine radiator for my 1990 535).However i think the most importsnt thing to do is find someone who knows what thay are doing with a bmw. That means the dealer or a independent ..Or you may undertake the work yourself. There is a LOT of very good information about repairs on the net

i will have to have a quick scout around to assess what its worth. Its brand spankin new still in box,was gonna put it in the e34 but never did
