Hey eko, Welcome! Got any pics of your ride? -Bravo
-
it is totally unecoomical. My parents wanted to take two vehicles over, but gave up after the first info-gathering exercise. i can't remember what hoops they had to go through, but from memory they treat the vehicle as a brand new, uncertified vehicle, and you have to go through the entire certification, registration process, and if it fails your stuffed. (Not to mention the cost of putting it through even if it does pass). There aren't that many BMW's over there (at least in the areas I have visited), so they are probably more expensive than over here, but aussies tend to look after their vehicles alot better in general. try to buy one over there.

And I be the nice person who asked the question for all of you - thought I was onto a win for the e30 - damn!
-
Yeah - I tried to use it, but it said I didn't have permission.
-
mmmmm e30 burn - auto getting looked at today - drinking 1L ATF per 200km. Car looks rangi as smoking down the road with all the fluid burning off the exhaust. If its poked bring on a manual conversion.... $$$$$$$$ If it is stuffed I'm gonna have great fun thrashing the tits off it in a paddock till it melts (or something like that). Gotta love cars... Work truck blew a head gasket last nite......

How much are injectors to replace? Andrew - you did yours, but they not BMW are they??? Mine are noisey little bitches and I occaisionally get this prob too.
-
Very new bimmers do it in 4-5 seconds. That is extremely fast. McClaren f1 is 3sec - I don't beleive your e30 did it anywhere near that fast. i'd be checking either you speedo or your stopwatch. If you do indeed go that fast, then there is something very good with your engine.

If its in the front floor pan, try unblocking the drainage hole on the drivers side of the firewall. If its blocked water fills up in the wiper motor cavity until it overflows into the cabin via the air-con ducting. Happened in mine - front carpet kept getting soaked, unblocked the hole and its all fixed.

No contest - Alpine :thumb:

Was waiting for some sick c**t to pick up on that. Congratulations Gus- you did not disappoint.

I love red, but know sh*t all about it. My mother is a hardcore wine buff, so everytime I can I sneak a peak in her racks and note the brands and then buy from those which ones I can afford - system seems to work, but don't ask me anything about wine - I just know that if I follow that system I am rarely diappointed.

Needs some sort of rear lip spoiler to give it more of a GT look IMO, and to sharpen the rear lines up - too rounded esp with the rounded front. I like the crease on the side of the z4 and the roadsters boot as it has some sharp lines - that is what is missing here I think.
-
that's teh idea Emma - the z4 coupe is essentially a Z4 with a hardtop. There is a z3 coupe which is a z3 with a hardtop except I think it's called an M coupe - but i forget... things... alot.
-
Gay - I have been waiting ages for a z4 coupe in the hope it would be fantastic. i never liked the z3, but loved the z3 coupe. i like the z4 a little, so was hoping the coupe would be badass - sorry but I was let down. Crap.

Use a test light to suss out positive, acc and ground, then use either a multimeter or a battery accross speaker terminals to determine which wire is which speaker (batt accross terminals will make the speaker extend one way or other - get a mate to help and watch which speaker moves. or us a multimeter and a long bit of wire to see which wire goes to which speaker terminal.) then all you need to find is the electric aerial remote wire - if there's only one left it's it, otherwise make sure there is no power coming from any wires left over with ignition on and touch them in turn to the aerial output on the head deck - the voltage is low enough not to kill anything at the other end, and you've already checked none of them are live and will fry your headdy.

Nice work lads. Top marks.
-
Haha - yeah looks a tiny bit american, but I like it - it oozes feline qualities.
-
Awwwww - feel like you got no purpose in life now?? Damn.
-
Yeah they good head units. i bought one for my sister, but it got stolen three weeks later. So she bought another one. That one also got stolen, but by my Dad - he threw it in his bimmer. Unfortunately they look out of place in the e30 dash, but are pretty good units for the money.

If I'm the sober driver I always drink Amstel Light, or Steinlager Light at a pinch. Otherwise at home I drink Stenlager, Heineken, Becks and Monteiths Original. I sometimes buy Grolsch when its on special. I also like the odd Guiness in winter. I recently came back from overseas and they had left over cans of Guiness from the Lions tour for $1 a can at duty free. Now I know it's not the same from a can but I bought several 4-packs and it's the best I can get without going down the pub. I also don't mind the odd Kilkenny. Kronenburg is pretty good too. I like Monteiths Summer Ale if is the first beer on a really hot day, but otherwise it is just too sweet and is like drinking treacle. Radler is the devil's spawn. I tried Carlsburg and it was good, but not my favourite. When not drinking beer it's usually CC and dry with lemon or CC and lemonade. But I spice things up from time to time by trying something new. Looking forward to Oktoberfest. oh and tried a Leffe the other day - it was an 8% from memory (which is a bit fuzzy not surprising), but I can't remember how it tasted. i do remember I liked it but at that stage of the proceedings I'd probably have liked anything. Strawberries to pigs aye Cilk!!!!

Do you have any carparts in your bedroom?
bravo replied to bumpstop325's topic in General Discussion
I can if I move the odd bit of furniture. One external wall of my bedroom opens out with double barn-like doors. In fact, at one stage I kept my van in there when I was living somewhere else. But no car parts in there except a handful of car-audio bits. Everything else is in the shed where it belongs. Edit: well pretty much all the furniture, so no I can't sleep next to it unless I want to ditch my bed and sleep on the floor or in the car. -
No havn't seen it and certainly will not vouch it's authenticity. However if someone is interested and wants to nip in and bid on it, that is entirely up to them - I was just bringing it to light as I don't know how many of you check the turners site. Edit: plus a low km's 740 with leather other extras, alpinas and in good nick would be worth the $10k anyway.

http://www.turners.co.nz/auctions/more_det...86-72e99d906584 Don't know if anyone here is interested, but looks tidy from photo. 110kms, and auctioneers estimate that it will go for $10k, so that means reserve is prob somewhere just below that, which for a '94 i personally think is a bargain.

Wasn't recommending you buy the engine overseas Gus.

Although this thread is suddenly in danger of becoming the "I love the hate thread" thread, I'm all up with that too. This thread rocks hard. Which is an even better reason to lock it lol - usually happens to every other thread I like hah!
