Probably won't kill your car in them meantime, but if it gets noticeably worse, get it fixed sooner rather than later. Cannot guarantee anything of course, but should be a cheap fix.

    Turboing an e30

This has been discussed in depth before with comparisons and conjecture between turbos and supercharggers. Use the search function - it was earlier this year sometime. As far as HP goes, someone once referred to BMW HP as Magic HP as the cars perform better than other vehicles with similar HP ratings. This is to do with all sorts of factors, but holds relatively true. However, you are right 129 HP is not alot. but then again, a BMW 320 is not a high-performance car now is it? It is a relatively well-performing small-sedan aimed at the yuppie-brigade in the '80s. And a 2L 6 is a small 6. Edit : Diamante's are whales.

While we're on this subject, my product key for windows 98 some nice person wrote on the CD don't work! It is an original 98SE CD for one of our work computers. Anyone got a valid key? The one that doesn't work is QXCFB-HBKGW-D7QYX-DXWB&-8P7HG
  8. Oh I knwo they are - that is why I ask - I've got them all out, but !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: Might go the PK route as at least they will be easy to remove in future.
  9. Hi, have removed all my plastic sill covers (the ones that hold the carpet edges neat and go over the door frame trim.) This is so I could easily lift the carpet to access the wiring channels in the sills to run my new sounds wiring (RCA's, speaker wiring, amp power etc). The prob is, that the force required to remove them has broken the odd clip and in some cases, the clip remained behind and the plastic channel it sits in broke. Not too much of an issue as I got most of them out and will be able to put all the sill trims back, but I am thinking I woul like to try a better solution in case I want to remove them again. I tried modifying the clips with a stanley knife to make them easier to go in and out, but broke as many as I "fixed". So I am thinking of screwing them in (I don't mind seeing screw heads) but the problem is how. The holes for the clips are quite big and so I can't screw anything into them, but I also cant get a nut inside to bolt into. I am thinking my last resort is to drill new smaller holes in the car and then use some PK's. Unless anyone has any ideas. Expanding bolt of smoe kind? Anyone else been through this? Cheers.
  10. Okay, went and fired up the old PC with a lot of pops creaks, hisses and farts, and got the prog and site list I told you about. 12. We broke the passenger seat in my dad's baur (pre fl). The seat bolts onto the rail mounts in four locations. At the rear of the seat the bolts go through square holes in a piece of sprung steel that goes up into the seat back - we broke off one of these mounting points so the seat is not secure and moves about (would fail a warrant) It would be impossible to nicely weld/braise the current seat, so we want to get e new one. Must be in very good condition, or if it is easy to swap the upholstery (i.e. not too expensive to do) then we'll do that - anyone know? If the trim is too much diff from the original we would consider buying a pair. Current ones are dark-grey (almost black) cloth/black vinyl. Any help??
  13. I was going to say that looks like a mates old flat on castle street just by the kodak? am I right? looked at your location and went waaaa? but then read the rest of the thread. Are my eyes right, or is it just because it looks like every other student flat?

Now that would be a rare car - 2005 e36.
  15. Try to follow the KISS principle Keep It Simple Stupid! Effective websites are basic - keep to two or three colours. Keep layout simple and use easy to read fonts. Try using sans-serif fonts Like the one used on here (Times New Roman has serfis and looks terrible on a website). Serif fonts are good for long documents or articles etc. Your navigation is pretty good - it is easy to follow, but try to limit the use of frames if you can - it is better to have individual pages each complete with its own navigation menu etc than a navigation frame down the side - this is because frames rarely work well . Use stylesheets if you can as these allow for faster editing and allow you to use templates for your pages to make sure everything looks the same. Avoid using complicated or bold backgrounds - they look tacky and cheap. Use the same background for all frames to avoid a dis-jointed look. Use more elegant looking navigation buttons - colour is very important, and "button-look" never really works. Remove the hit counter - these are good if they are hidden so you can track visitors, but they are rarely appreciated by visitors to the site. If you can, modify the code yourself - avoid WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) HTML editors unless they allow you to manual code, and then preview. The auto-editors never code well. If you don't know what a style sheet is search google for css stylesheets - they use normal HTML and you don't need to know much other than that - very similar in principle to using styles in Microsoft Word. Look at you page layouts - they seem cluttered and disjointed. Otherwise, not a bed first effort especially if you have never coded before. I haven't created any webpages for over two years, so I am a bit rusty, and I always used HTML and stylesheets almost exclusively because I was to lazy to learn any of the more advanced programming languages. However, I created some very effective sites this way, so it is possible without resorting to flash or php or anything else. If you can learn one or two of these, then great! If not, HTML should do almost everything you want, and their are plenty of downloadable scripts available if you know where to look. If you want a list of some good sites and free software, yell out and I'll let you know what I used to use as I found them to be some of the best.
  16. Because they are all plebs. My mate txt'ed one person to tell them of their stupidity, and they went "oh!, so I'm not gonna get the $50? That's not fair - can they do that?" I mean come on!!! How dense are you?
  17. You need to remove everything on your site that flashes or moves. Clean the site up a bit - it needs to look sleek to look professional - content is good. Friendly advice, don't be offended.
