I know and I don't care.I will never convince fans otherwise, but a car like this at that price is plain lunacy UNLESS you have every other toy you desire, and believe me, there are very few people in the world with the wealth I would require where I had everything in my want list that falls higher up than a maclaren f1. And by few I would say around 100-150. I understand it is very f**king cool, but it's not that cool. But as I've already said, I'll never convince you otherwise, so good luck on the 10 mill and I hope you get one (I do, no sarcasm whatsoever). If you do get one, I give you permission to gloat and I definitely give you permission to let me have a play. lol I smell a Tui slogan.

I don't care what it is, 2.8 mill is just f**king stupid for a car. I mean, think of what other super cars you can buy up to a total of 2.8, and then tell me you would rather spend the money on one. I know it is one rare bitch of a car, and it is damn fast, but c'mon that's just stupid.

I'm getting one of those. Should be all finished by August. I lost four top, two bottom - how many you lose? (oh, and my ACC bill is closer to $30k for mine, so I beat you).

My life is one of the self-ownage. I think it would be easier to make a diary of the days I don't f**k something up. My friends joke about insuring themselves against me. I am a walking disaster. (when I'm not laid back with some injury or other) I am sure ACC thinks I am trying on a fiddle with the amount of business I send their way, but its all legit. And somehow I am still alive and look outwardly un injured with all external limbs still intact - I am hurting on the inside though. Lifes too short to walk around wrapped in cotton wool.

Correct except I would describe them as thumb screws, not nuts as you undow them by hand although technically they are not screws. They are quite big and easy to undo - one on either side of the steering column. One just to the left of the light switches and one just to the right of the centre console.
-
Because you'd feel the front ones through the steering and more through the brake pedal than the rears which you feel through your seat.

Welcome! The car looks nice - love the dished wheels and two-tone body kit. Almost think the chrome around the windows looks good because of that. I know it is becoming cliche on this forum and therefore less unique, but I think front clear turn signals, and shadowline window trim would make this car look badass. Like I said, it's becoming cliche, but thats because it looks so damn good. Godd luck with the car, and see you around the forum.

Well needles work, and so do the dash lights, and although I haven't done it when I took this pic, the economy needle is painted too. The finish is slightly less than perfect, but pretty even on the bits you can see, and a very, very hi-gloss. Can only pick the blemishes under my 500W halogen spotlights when shone directly on them, so will be impossible to detect in the car. I think it looks tits, and am very pleased with the result. Thanks for the comments above, as always positive comments are good to hear.

Hey sic bro - there's jokes and there's jokes. Don't f**k with the bimmers - thats the whole point of the site. Go ahead, be funny, liberally moderate, but in the words of a wise man - don't be a c**t sic... ...don't be a c**t.

God help us mehehehehehee!

true. but more room for the gas porta-spot. - no burnt fingers reaching into the boot.
-
And it'll be the rear wheels, not the front.

I'd take it out and shoot it, but then only because a) I'm jealous, It would rock so much harder as a hardtop.

Em - easy - two thumbscrews behind dash to remaove a small cover below cluster, then four scres removs next bit of plastic, and releases bottom of cluster, then two more screws to release top of cluster, then unplug two plugs and you're free. Undo about eight morescrews and you can access the needles. Andy/stz - e30 needles reflect the dash lights, and are not transparent, so they will just look red at night instead of orange. ali - I'll let you know. This is my only concern as the paint is sorta thickish (two coats), and I had to play with the needles abit when painting as I cut-in around the central bit where they attach instead of masking. I was really careful though, so I don't see much problem. I really don't think the weight will matter at all though - anyone care to comment? Tim/bmpstp - that's the next step (white dials), but I haven't got round to it yet as I want to see them in the flesh before I front up with the cash. P.S. A n d r e w - f**k off with the auto-correct, you're not the only a ndrew on here, and they are not all god's like you. :finger:

the possibilities with that thread title are endless... But congrats on you new-found lack of slip. I covet your differential.

The central locking is controlled by a controller operated off switches in the drivers, front passenger doors and boot. There is a double-lock feature in most e30s which prevents the doors from being unlocked from the inside, or any door except the drivers. Play with the drivers door lock. There may be some resistance for the key to turn. E30 locks are another common failure point according to forums I have slutted around.

I still say the pinstripe is awesome, and totally acceptable PROVIDED the logo is not on there. It is like saying you cant put M3 mirrors on your car because it isn't an M3 or you can't put ACS or Hartge or Alpina mags on because its not an ACS, Alpina or Hartge. As long as you don't have the logo and say "I've got a ACS logo because I want you to think I've got an ACS", but just say "I think the ACS pinstripe enhances my cars looks and lines, but I know I don't have an ACS so I'll leave the logo off" then that's fine. Taking styling options from performance versions is not cheating, it's customising. As long as the logos only go on when appropriate or the real thing.

A really easy one this time. I only decided to do it and hour and 15mins ago, and its already done. Some of you may remember me talking about painting my needles red a while back, well I got home from work today and I had to kill some time before some mtes turned up, and so I pulled out the humbrol and got to work. Took an hour to get all of the gear together, clean up my workbench, remove the instrument cluster and paint the needles. It is drying right now, so I only have a photo of it outside of the car, but here it is anyway. P.S. just realised I forgot the economy meter needle, oh well, I'll do that on Sunday avo and post in-car pics then.

I like it too, but hmmm... there's just something not quite right. loks like something else I've seen - maybe a merc.

Post pics when done please.
