Not a huge E30 touring fan - E39 touring = way cool. But that one would look good with a few minor cosmetic mods. i would still buy one though just to be different.
-
I thought the indicators at the front were a little large, and the grille also, but never seen many E32's, so my bad. '96 was the year of the new model E39 which is what I meant. Don't you hate it when you correct someone, but are wrong yourself :kicks self in back of head while mutter - you f**ken dumbf**k:

motor cycle shops often do plastic welding - as the repair fairings. I am going to try to patch mine with black marine silicone as it will give as the crack widens, and be almost invisible (i hope). Also, I was told that armourall is no good on these dashes as it protects from UV but also hardens this particular material. baby Oil is the way to go or so I'm told. As far as price? $4500 or their abouts?? My car was very similar to yours when I bought it, but without any of the probs you mentioned, but it needed the cam belt done. It has done 100300km and I am hoping it will be one of the few that don't require lots of work around this time

Can a 320 one be substituted with minor modification??? If so on trademe...

They been avail for months, so it either hasn't sold, or this guy makes them - my car isn't low enough to warrant one, but could be some cheap insurance if your car is lowered.

e34 is the code for the '88 to 96 5 series. If you are having trouble distinguishing between it and the E30, notice that the indicators are beside the headlights on the E34? On the E30, they are down on the bumper instead. The tail lights are also different. The indicator is above the tail light instaed of being part of it (i.e. on an E30 it is a erctangle - the E34 has a extra bit for the indicator above the reactangle. there are heaps of other differences of course, but those are the ones you should be able to notice quickly and from a distance.

Which is why everyone should pay a voluntary membership fee. If it wasn't for that $50 a month, the forums would not exist. I bought a sticker (and a $2 donation ) but I have a feeling that that only covered the cost of the sticker. I would quite happily pay a yearly sub provided there was some minor benefit over those who didn't I can't think of anything at the mo as the benefit obviously must be less than the membership cost or else there is no gain for Andrew et al. who run the board. I know it means more work for the admin team, but if you get professional with the charging of subs, and provide a membership benefit, then more people might pay it. It might involve, say getting the supporting vendors behind the club more whereby they gat advertising on the site, in exchange for a discount to PAID members - ie it is of your benefit to be paid up as you get discounts at BMw related businesses. At first it could be quite informal with a trust thing for paid members, but as numbers grew membership cards (or keyrings??) could be issued to stop any abuse by non-paid members. While the numbers are still low (we have 300 odd registered members, but at my guess only 100 odd active ones?) i know it will be hard to get the support from the retailers, but things will grow - maybe a partnership of some sort with the BMWCC - maybe if you join there, you get free membership here, and they pass on some of the sub to bimmersport. they gain by getting new members that wouldn't normally join (i.e. they only want to be bimmersport members, but pay the BMWCC sub to get it), and bimmersport gains by getting some of that sub, and the member gains by getting all of the benefits of a BMWCC member??? Just a few ideas - OT I know, but it's my thread... I'll repost under the membership thread if someone thinks I should??

They aren't as good as this though... I am so doing this to the bimmer - 50HP bolt-on yehaaa!!!

Cheers carl - never seen that link - I must be blind. that explains it then as the software etc must be stored on Invisions servers, and so as they are based in the states.... Thanks for clearing that up.

Just being nosy, but ran a trace on the site, and was surprised to see the path go way offshore before looping back. What ISP does the hosting for the site? Weird that it is presumably cheaper for them to reroute everything overseas. For instance, if you trace www.google.co.nz, it doesn't appear to leave the country (do they have an onshore server then i guess?) have attached a screen shot below - The first three lines of the trace is the path exiting my connection through my ISP (I have blanked them for privacy), then the next few are it going to the gateway on the skytower in Auckland, and then wammo! off it goes to the states and beyond before looping back. Just being nosy.

Good point ali. Em - to do a multiple pic attachment you need to link to them from the website they are on using the IMG tags instead of ataching it from your own computer. We've seen it before, but since you asked, here is that E34 ute.

Now try and say inserted the "homy" way witout smiling - I tried and I bloddy can't. You could say that after you blast someone with your side-sight-equipped pistol. "Take that! - you just got inserted biatch! " :rambo: Or is that to much like homo boys unite instead of homeboys unite?? :gay: lol.

They are the ugliest lights I have ever seen... period. :banghead: If anyone puts those on their car I will personally see to it that they are locked up in a maximum security psychiatric wing. I have access to one, so don't think I'm joking! :rambo:

This for sale now?? Why you selling it?

Lotus has always been one of my favourite performance marques, and how cool is their new Waiuku showroom? - kicks the arse out of the old East Tamaki "workshop". A bit safer out there too, last year, a P lab was busted next door to the workshop in East Tamaki - imagine if that had gone bang! Say goodbye to some nice automobiles.
-
You're such a ricer ali - you always say the crazy-kitted cars "are knda cool actually" - not a shot at you, everyone has their own tastes and opinions, but a funny observation from where I'm sitting. lol. What really sticks out for me on the sedan is the deep dish rears, but not fronts, and those guards on the ti - WTF? E30 coolness, even if it is stock on the outside (except for that mad paintjob yo! and the blue roof strobe!)

hahahaha BTT: is there any progress on this? Confirmed costs. Nor interested right now, but have been following the thread hoping to find out for future mods.

Prob because we are viewing the english version, and their is prob some difficulty in the translation - they should give it to a natural english speaker to tidy up.

Yeah, I have the same hubcaps - I bought bottlecap mags as I wanted to keep the car relatively "stock" for insurance purposes, but it turns out one of the bottlecaps is bent, so I need to ring the guy I bought them off and see what we can arrange otherwise I am looking for a new wheel. Insurance sucks. If you are living at home, put it in your parents name and be the main driver on the policy - that way you won't get into trouble when they find out you drive it all the time. If you move out of home, it might be hard to explain why you have your parents car all the time - insurance companies are wise to the fact that parents do this for their kids, and it is illegal, so if they do find out they might not pay out.
-
Presumably you have been to the BBS Website? There are only half a dozen or so wheels there though, so??
-
Just be very careful - can take a fair bit of force, and so if you slip you could end up with a new "racing" stripe on your bonnet, or "speed holes" in your hand.

Yeah, fully auto is not good - chew throught ammo. My semi-auto pistol only doesn't coz its only got a 8 round mag, and although I have several mags to exchange it takes too long to reload them for me to use it too fast. I have a .22 rifle with a 15 round mag - it is bolt action so not semi auto, and that is my favourite as I can fire continuosly for a minute or so (if I'm not trying to empty the clip as fast as I can), and then just drop the clip and slam another in, and carry on. If it was full auto, or semi, I would drop my 15 rounds in 15 sec and that would suck (and pretty much remove the need for my scope). I want to get a tripod made up and a replica AK setup to mount in the back of my Dad's Willy's. - maybe modify the AK rep to fire a water canon hooked up to a tank and high pressure pump - hit the beach in Paihia with that mofo - wet t-shirts on! It is quite difficult to get the E endorsement though, and I'm not sure if the person in question has it. But I've talked to my mate who got to have a play and he reckons it was surprisingly accurate (by virtue of design and ammo type I believe) and apparently walked all over a 47 - but thats just what i heard, so... As far as those side sights go, I think I would prefer a side laser sight - go the berry yo!

That's a really nice car man. Has he had much interest? Not really looking for a car right now, but would have been interested 3-4 months ago. He should be able to sell it alright - price is OK esp considering it's the 2.6 and the low kms.
