  1. Not in Welly but i win.
  2. Does the right side have to go down or does the left have to go up?
  3. With a really BIG hammer
  4. The car....yes, the wheels and 'stance'......NO F**KING WAY IN HELL. Another fine example of some one with too much time and little Imagination.
  5. http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....showtopic=27622
  6. So who's in for a "Bimmersport Bike Build Off"? This is my latest purchase. Now has new VIN, plates and WOF so fun is soon to begin. All i'll say is 'Cafe & black"
  7. The average elevation of Timaru is 1 metre above sea level. So wouldn't be too hard to get a 'below sea level' reading i would think.
  8. This made me chuckle a bit. Being in HB you should be immune to them. I'm Napier born & bred and don't actually mind quakes.
  9. Yep, cold up here as well. Bearing in mind we only get a reasonable fall every 4-5 years, this one is bigger than the last big one in '94. We are 'bout 1.5km from the mountain base, it does get damn cold but rarely snows. Woke up to this this morn' and it kept snowing 'til 12.30 today. The drive way. The bonnet of the young fellas Hilux, that's 60mm of snow. So then i decided to go up to our new place. It's 610 metres up the road and closer to the mountain YAY
  10. Exactly. Technically new tyres would / should be classed 'aftermarket'. The list could go on for ever, light bulbs, oil filter.......................... May have to inquire with my broker haha.
  11. Oh he knew what it was when he flicked it. He imported it (ex UK) himself, after he sold it he bought in a nice blue E39 M5 manual. Mind you, he does have a bit of money, he owns this business. http://www.c-quip.com
  12. Would E34 540/6 Motorsport in red with MSport cloth front seats have gone up a hell of alot in recent years? Just wondering as i know the guy who sold his in '08 for approx' $8800 and curious as to what it'd be worth now. Here. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=172913725

    RUSTY

As much as it pains me to admit it, i have to agree with you on this. Take note of this as the chance of it happening ever again are almost non-existant.
  14. Most common sense post in the whole thread. Well done that man.
  15. To start let me say, i unfortunately think you may know a little more 'bout this than me, sh*t it's hard to be humble Secondly, when you say "we" in the above statement, does that mean you're a chemist or in the paint / refinish industry? If so i'd like to talk to you some more.
  16. Jon, i know what you're trying to say but i'm sorry it's BS. I have NEVER had a de-lamination issue with anything i've painted, whether it's done in a heated booth or a backyard shed. Heated booths ("bake ovens") are to speed up the process of getting the job done ie 'turnaround' and has nothing at all to do with the curing of the product, or as you say "promotes the reaction" 2 pack uses a chemical reation to cure NOT heat. The only time you will see clear lifting off (de-laminating) is if the painter has missed his clearing window (the time between colour 'flash off' and the allowable max' time before clear) or the use of products that are not compatible ie: Acrylic lacquer colour and 2 pack clear.
  17. Flatting agent doesn't work in solids like the Autothane CV colours. I appreciate the time you took to do the job and the outcome and the write up is good and informative but...............................i feel you are going to have problems with the paint in between the spokes. It looks like you couldn't get right in there and sand it, no amount of adhesion promoter will help in that situation. Personnaly i would of got the rims bead blasted (you were half way there getting tyres off) then some wet on wet no sand primer then blast ya paint on. Would've saved ya some stress and time. My 2c.
  18. If you do decide to get a new paint job, do it before you put new motor in mate. That way you can do the engine bay at the same time.
  19. It's no biggie, it's only a bonnet and he knows someone who can panel & paint it very very cheaply hehe.
  20. Straight to DVD i think, not really a main stream theme, until................................................Bill becomes a "war" hero then the great mass of American patriots will help it win an oscar haha.
  21. So true 'bout the Hollywood thing Jon. Can you imagine the film when it gets released haha. They'll have Bill Caswell winning the WRC with a $500 E30, a jack, a 14mm ring spanner and 1 spare tyre. Then they'll send him and his car to Iraq and Afghanistan to bring a halt to the crime that the US call a war on a noun. "The War on Terror"
  22. So what's all the fuss about? Some guy enters a shitter in some rally and comes 3rd in HIS (obscure) class. The event was not a WRC event and if it was a WRC event he would've been a hypothetical 23rd. For all the people who think he came 3rd in a WRC event and beat all the "big" names need to do a bit more research.
  23. Correct. I used to throw lit smokes into buckets of petrol for bets, made a few bucks too.
