  1. Changed the rear shock mounts tonight, the old ones were far past usable but I modded them with some cable ties so they would last the season.

Also found the rear trailing arms to be finger tight and were flopping around. Fixed now.

  2. Update:

Its home for maintenance, will take about 2 weeks of all nighters to get fixed up, everything is either either getting replaced or upgraded: Springs, Antirollbars, steering rack, Shock mounts, Headers, Exhaust, Diff, Body Panels, Subframe, Brakes, Shifter, slicks and the list goes on. I am wanting to get the car in top shape before next season and as it will be my first complete season so I am not leaving anything to chance.

    In the Garage.

I don't have many skills when it comes to cars but I do think I've got a little bit of taste. So I'm happy to share my advice when it comes to modifying your vehicles to help prevent you creating nightmares like this:

Please use sarcasm font as I can't tell if your joking or not.

  4. Amen brother. It's actually the analogy I used to justify my madness to mum, sis etc.

Looking really good but wait until you find uses for them around the house (the wheels that is), currently I have one in the shed being used as a cutting block and two others as the base for a coffee table.

Have you found a use for the old center caps/hex nuts? Wouldn't mind buying two of them back for my coffee table.

Lastly, I know its been months since I said I would get that BBS spanner but I will try find it in the coming weeks, I know it will be somewhere in my stockpile of rare stuff.

  5. This is a great club event. The SNZ and "Bimmersport" track days were back to back last year. And even though the SNZ one was in the pissing down rain. It was far superior.

    See you all there.

BTW Andrew. If the new car is not finished by then I will be one of the helpers for the day.

Hows your car coming along? I would be keen to come and give you a run for you money if its going to be there :)

  6. It's actually no different from paying $1000 for a washing machine at one store, then paying $1800 for the exact same item at another store.

Exactly, so why would BMW NZ drop the price when people are paying it currently? They would see a massive drop is profit for only a slight increase in sales.

  7. good luck

how about a nice 4 door version

rust free , reg on hold excelent engine and 4spd auto

No thanks, has to be a e24 as e28's are ugly and e34's are to heavy.

Don't you have enough projects already???

you can never have enough projects

what about one with an e34 m5 motor..and really nice condition?

No thanks, it is going to be going through a ground up rebuild and needs to have an m30.

On another note ill take those shocks your selling on trademe if no one else takes them before i find a shell.
