Does anyone have a decent set of Disc's and pads that will fit... E36 M3 front hubs with e36 M3 brakes E36 318ti rear hub with e46 brakes sole use will be for racing can anyone suggest a place to go to get these items? if not i will probably end up going to Race Brakes.
-
323e30 might of sused me out with a 735i one, a quick search on google revealed they should be the same hoping with the e36 m3 brakes its medium, not soft like they currently are, but in saying that it does also have 1 million year old pads and rotors on it I'll put up another thread for rotors and pads.

there is a black 540i touring up the road from me and it looks way more staunch than this, I reckon the blue kinda ruins the look something different i guess

Does anyone know where I can get a 25mm e32 750il Brake Master cylinder? It will be going on the racecar and the current e30 one isn't going to be firm enough. I will consider anything else that will fit the e30 chassis that is an upgrade from the current one, also since there car is not running a booster, mounting points don't really matter along with length so anything that will fit the original brake lines, is on the cards.

yeah, its dimondswarz-metallic, it looks black at dusk and on cloudy days but during the day it looks like a very grey black
-
do you mean like this, but a bit darker?
-
yeah its pretty low, goes underneath the sump, its kinda acting as a sump guard edit, just did some measurements on the car, the roll bar is 8cm off the ground with the sump being 13cm also measured the wheels from outside to outside and came up with these measurements ....................E30S50....M3 Front Track = 1695mm,1412mm Rear Track = 1680mm,1425mm Wheelbase = 2520mm,2568mm and ride height is 15cm from the sideskirts. Im not sure if I measured the track correctly, is it outside to outside or middle to middle of the tyre or hub to hub?

Update time, picked up the car to take to paint tomorrow, so next update will be once its painted black, any suggestions on decals ect ect? being all black might be a bit overwhelming Pics For anyone interested, this is how the front sway bar has been mounted to fit a Z4 one This is just a pic of the inside of the front wheel, shows there is enough room to fit wider rims if needed And this is a pic of the front brake caliper clearance, its about 1cm maybe a little more next set of pics it will be all one color
-
yeah 1/4rly is probably better
-
hmm there is no reason we cant have different class withen the same race how about the first time you compete you must meet the $700 rule then have after that you can either compete in the $1000 category, $1500 or $2000 category just an idea
-
nah, but then if something serious breaks, the cars useless might have to write the rule if you complete 25% or more of the race, you get $500 in repair money or something along those lines hmmmm
-
sounds like its craving the extra 1000 revs, nice
-
at $1500 you start getting twin turbo wrecks, at $700 you can only really buy cars that arn't that powerful. its got to get through scrutineering to race, i doubt somthing thats going to spew its guts out is going to make it out onto the track time will tell
-
Just an update, the lemons site is going to be wiped and a new site put up either tomorrow or Friday, the new address will be www.lemons2hour.com , it wont be free hosting so it shouldn't be soooooo slooooow
-
niiiiiiiice
-
anything goes in terms of engines etc as long as the car is under $700?? turbo are less likely to last the 2hours im guessing that $1000 figure is only to stop people cheating, I dont want to buy a piece of junk, but if someone spends $3k on performonce mods its more liekly they will be refused entry.
-
its about time you got back onto this project, tis looking good, who have you got building your engine?
-
when everything is finalized I will put up entry Forms, expecting it to take 1-2 weeks
