This car just doesn't want to work without a fight. They were running it up on the dyno then they noticed the exhaust cam Vanos is not adjusting but the intake is working fine. There going to take the Vanos apart as it suspected that there is an oil blockage in the Vanos, apparently its a common problem that occurs you leave a Vanos engine sitting for a long time. Will be going to the track day on Saturday 26th then again on 16th of October at Puki Hopefully will be testing at Hampton Downs at the end of October Then competing at the Lotus meeting on the 1st of November at Hampton Downs. Also looking for semi-slicks, WTB thread

Need to get a set of Semi-slicks for the race car, they need to fit a 17x8.5" rim anyone know the best place to go? would be good if I could get a good set of secondhand tyres rather than going new.

Its been a while since any info has been released but the latest goes like this Auckland car club have said they will back the series and supply flag Marshal's for the LeMons Endurance Series if LeMons can get a entry of ~25+ cars To give this series its best chance LeMons is going to be held on the Club track at Hampton Downs as it is half the price compared to the National track and also requires less flag Marshall's ect ect. The only downside is the track wont be ready till ~March 2010 Also another rule change that will be worked on over the next month is the alteration of the $700 rule. A list is going to be compiled of all cars that are worth $700 or less, this will mainly be for those that have owned a car for years that was bought for $5000, but is now worth $700. The list will constantly be being updated and for those that cannot find their car on the list, but feel it is worth $700 just have to send an email to [email protected] with evidence, i.e. links to Trademe of similar car's. This list is going to huge. Also in the works are a few things that will make the first time racer happy with package deals for overalls and helmets, Price T.B.A. Allot more info to come over the next few months, keep tuned.

+1 Its a shame that my car was plagued with electrical problems, Paul Mills blew a headgasket after downshifting up to 16000 revs and Babb's car was not ready in time. Also I think Mosens car was plagued with electrical problems all weekend aswell?

make sure your ip is set to 10.1.1.4 or 5/6/7/8/9, have had problems with different ip's before workgroup is WORKGROUP if all else fails come see me in Jennian and i'll try fix it

nah they got it running but didn;t have time to tune it. Gives me some time to strip weight out of it

forgot to upload timing to mylaps.com tonight, my bad e30's nearly got it wrong coming over the hill in the wet, few close calls think it was all caused by Mr Babb spinning out? Classic trial is first up tomorrow, I can sense the excitement.

good and bad news, Its finally going on all 6, but........ they ran out of time to get the fuel maps sorted so it wont be racing this weekend, should be out of the dyno early next week. This should give some time to prepare it properly and not rush the build. Bring on the track days

and.... they only got the update from auz last night, there going to tune it today, best case scenario is that it will be ready by late this afternoon , not looking good but there is still a chance.
