I agree, I cannot workout for the life of me why this cannot become a global car for Falcon, it has the correct 'design language' is 'up-to-date' uses a version of the ford v8, blah blah, and its not a bad car, there are worse cars out there than this one. Doesn't help the Mondeo is now as large, but a LHD version would be great I would think in the USA? I would have this over the Taurus, but hey.

Eww, the Vilner is a bit garish for me, sounds too close to vulgar. It looks like it would be quite a homely place to be...if you're a Stormtrooper? I think the M6 is decadent enough, but the Vilner just didn't know when to stop..unless wings sprout from the sides and it takes off like a plane? How about something simpler, there a re a few design concepts I like about this still. Too bad, none of them will make it into production for a variety of reasons, one, because of the strict design protocols based mainly on how we crash into people and secondly because no one wants to do 'simple' anymore. The 328 Concept.

Nice ride, more sensible I think than the E34, but it doesn't sound any more reliable. ha, once everything is done though I guess you have some piece of mind for a while. Are you going to change the mirrors? That's the only thing I would change with yours. Question: Do the drilled rotors make ANY difference in normal driving? Cheers

Hi, Looking at selling these whilst I sort the Arrows. I have some OEM's to go on in the meantime. I thought I would put them up here before they go on tardme. Looking for a grand. If I get not interest here I will tardme, and if no joy there, I will have a set of 16's, 17's and 18's for my ride. SO full specs: Harmann HM2 18x8.5 et13 full set of 4. fronts 245/40-18 Rears 265/35-18 All wof easy, lots of mileage left. Text me if you're keen. If not all good. West Auckland. I have had a few windscreens from them, all pretty straightforward but the broken glass in every case was still quite easily visible. As you know broken auto glass goes everywhere and you cant get it all in one pass, but these guys are useless. -
I wish I did have it under control!!! I think I am going to cut a sliver above the curve of the flare and put in a strip, so it will be subtle and hopefully not to different to stock, its only a few mm out, so if I can avoid a full flare option I am going to take it!!!

Last time I needed a bush or bearing that I didn't want to get bent over and raped for, I took the part to SKF, and they had the perfect match. Once you have the part it is much easier, and you can see how the part has worn and what you might be able to change so that it is 'better' in that area. alas you cant always have the part. There are a few bearings places that love the challenge. I hate retail, so I do everything I can to cheap out, and mostly not always I like what I find, and you learn heaps too. If I end up at team macMillan, they have won and I have failed I have been at the tipping point where I have thought f**k it, make my own poly bushes, but haven't had to...yet. Good luck.

It's pretty unique, I will give it that, but meh, a lot of coin for what really is a slightly shrunken M3. Imagine that gear in an E30, much cheaper and I guess lighter still, now that would be the nuts.

When I look for cars on trademe and it gives you the option to choose manual or automatic, and I choose manual. I would like to assume everyone thinks as I do. That by choosing that option, the vehicles that will appear will have a clutch pedal and a gearstick in which I will choose to use in conjunction with the aforementioned clutch pedal. We all know this is not the case, and I do appreciate others opinions on what they consider to be a 'manual' vehicle. I think most of us would agree that there is some interpretational license going on here when selling cars. What I cannot stand though, and what I am only assuming to be going on are people putting 'manual' on their adverts in the knowledge they will be getting appeal to their cars more so than if they had correctly advertised their car as an automatic. rant over.

I came across this photo some time ago and just wanted peoples thoughts. From what I can tell, the owner has moved the Aircon switches to where the headlight switch lives, usually by itself. the middle console is pretty much custom, with only the computer thingy left. How is the owner of this lovely E34, controlling the rest of the heater? it may not be showing in this picture but I am guessing if he went to all the trouble moving the switches and guessing he only moved them because they are actually operational, how is he changing the heat level and its velocity? If I could get rid of mine nicely (because they really do look old fashioned) I would, but I still want them to work! Cheers Thoughts?

I don't think I need to remove anything to show me what needs to happen. The photo shows exactly what needs to happen. Either the wheel goes in 3mm, which is possible, without hitting anything, which I can shave the wheels spaces a tad, but other than that I think I will be doing some cutting and welding.

This is how the rear of the tyres sit now. It still sits too close to the guards. I have a few options: 1; Raise the car - I don't think so, I love the stance on my car, so will avoid this option! 2; Change the tyre size - mmmI like the OD on these, and I do not want the stretched look 2; Pull the guards - From what I have seen online, this looks terrible, and is usually followed by a more professional resolve 3; Flares - This brings up more issues but it seems like the only way to go. 4; Change the wheels - I want the 11's!, not only that, I could change the inners and outers, but the idea of having a set of wheels and tyres more expensive than the car does not appeal to me at all. I could have done that from the beginning. 5; Increase camber - Not really an option, I like the way it sits now, and the $$$$ will just get out of hand. I have seen some flares on E34's online and None of them appealed. I need some wheel travel so even if I squeezed the inner lip and outer guard together like paper, I think I would still be in trouble. This looks like the go. IN this shot I am trying to squeeze my pinky between tyre and guard. No chance. It's not showing off, it's showing why you DONT try putting 11" (total 12") wide rims on the ass of your E34.

I live out West, Mums 320i 1998 had the dreaded airbag light stay on. SO we bought a cheap thingmajiggy of tardme me, hooked it up and now its gone. I cant say all of the reasons why they go off in the first place will be fixed by this thing, but it erased it this time. Yours is OBDII so should be the same port at least. 021795306 if you wanna know more.

My old 328i was great on the open road, whether I fanged it or not, trips from Aucks to Wgtn were awesome for the money. But around Auckland, mmm it wasn't a Corolla that's for sure, but the balance was more than worth it. On the highway I reckon it was sucking juice similar to my old Primera, which is to say very good, it's just around town she was a bit sucky.

O.k. So I have been grinding and welding and grinding and priming and painting. So I made enough clearance for the rims. I also put washers over the sleeve that is in the bottom shock mount bush (that's a mouthful, but I think accurate enough) Probably 4x2.5mm 22mm (internal) washers. I also have the 10mm spacers. So it all works most of the time. I got the hammer and heat gun out and did my best impression of someone who looks like they know what they are doing. It still scrapes slightly now and again in the back, much like how it did with the last set of wheels, so I can live with that. I will do some more fine hammering of the inner guard lip and I think it will be more than fine. So the back 2 for me at least are sorted. The fronts are going to be mega expensive when I change the inner barrels, so those have to wait! I haven't driven on it yet, so it hasn't settled in this pic, because this is a bit higher than normal. Not the best shot to show, but hey. They are on there! Rear specs: Wheels; Arrows 3 piece 17x11 ET22.5, with 10mm spacer effective ET 12.5. Tyres; 275/40-17.

Hi Guys, When I said "... in the BMW world" I meant made by BMW. But o.k. How about this, I have always loved this thing. It looks like thousands of dollars and thousands of man hours putting this thing together, and if you hear the thing on video, it's pretty wicked.
