hmm .. yeah the guys done a nice job up until the 90% mark on his e46 .. then he decided to wang it out with the Rieger kit and 50 different pop up displays ... .. kind of recked the project after that.

  10. Thanks for the comment um, I'm running 19x8.5 fronts with 19x9.5 rears with a 42 offset (slightly too big normally you'd do a 38 offset) Tyres are FK-451 235 / 35 fronts and 265 / 30 rears. The wheels have a lip that sticks out past the tire bead and that coupled with the 'streached' look tyres (they arn't really streached its how the falkins are contructed to give that euro mod look) give the whole look. Before I had the gaurds done they would rub on big bumps or heavy loads in the car. They had been rolled as much as they could without cracking the paint but not enough. Hence the increase in this round of mods. The brief I gave the Precision Autowerks was not to give the car any umbrella effect. as it would ruin the look. They shaved the metal on the gaurd lip and used an extruding machine/tool to pull the gaurds out thus keeping the proper OEM curves on the gaurds (very important to me). Check back in thread youll see in the 'phone camera' shots the rear gaurds shaved. If your in auckland pop over and I can show ya what where how.

  12. sup man, Will tell ya as soon as I get my dam car back and do it myself ... weds next week now cars fully painted tho .. they are just doing the interior ... basically the metal masking plate inside the focusing lens (inside housing, remove xenon bulb very carefully without touching the bulb glass with bare hands) I've gotta figure out a way to flip the masking plate.
  13. Remember your buying a 'big car' .. If your interested in 'modding' it .. there arn't as many mods for it as say the e30, e36, e46 3 series. However you can change the head / corner and tail lights easy enough. If its a singapore / malaysian import take extra car in checking it out. Had an interesting conversation with 'Dirty Six' last night my singapore import 3 series was plagued with problems, however his one was fine. But we put it down to mine probably was sitting around in the hot damp weather with lower k's were as his apparently was an ex -sales rep car that did a lot of driving between regions There for drying the thing out somewhat. These hot / damp places (mind outta the gutter you lot ) play havoc on car eletrics. One easy way to check (while not comprehensive) have a look at the window and trim rubber .. see if its perished ... its generally a good sign of what environment that car has been in.
  14. Oh cant wait to have mine back .... fun times ...
  15. yeap, and your looking around 500-600 USD for OEMs (the best fitting for an e46)ill check the exact cost tomorrow.
  16. Not as it stands ... however .. I have found a way to change the US sidewalk flare from the right to the NZ left. inside the focusing lens there is a metal plate .. im going to flip it .. which will change the prysm effect to the other side
  17. nice man .... tints are perfect!
  18. This is what we run in realtime on the GSR
  19. hmm agree to a point, What the pros will do is stick an oxy sensor up ya tail pipe. This is all good for specific turbo vehicles that are factory built this way... but when converting N/A to FI on a stand alone management system especially on a BMW I would'nt really want to be caught without proper logging (detonation is a bitch). A wideband will give you proper accurate readings so you may get your A/F set correctly. Also, The amount of money you'll spend on pros tuning it .. you can spend that money on the wideband and you have the benefit of learning about your car. Also the Link wont autotune the mid fuel zones properly without wideband.
  20. sounds like the way to gowhere can i find out more about this? http://www.zeitronix.com/ is what hes using... if you want to have a look sometime and see how it all works ... come over ... pm me if so.
  21. looking forward to this! Grant you thinking of running wideband with logging output? I totally recommend it .. as you can link in nicely with a laptop to it and graph all A/F vs RPM vs boost ... is so much better for tuning than the links output .. We have just finished my flatmates GSR after bunch of turbo / fuel system upgrades. We used the graphs to monitor the links low RPM auto tune. Then ever important hi boost tune .. We found the links auto tune cant keep up with how fast the car would get up to top end boost, therefore only actually getting a couple of readings in. So we tuned it manually with stunning results. Fully recommend running wideband with logging output.
  22. Depends a lot on what you have underneather the Teflon. my last paint job was great, just had to clean the car (no wax) and it looked brand new, waxing it with meguirs techwax didn't really do anything to add gloss / shine to it. The reason I put wax on it was to protect it ... hence on a high qaulity paint job the teflon it should keep it looking that way everytime I wash the car. I more worried about bird sh*t, even after 1/2 a day being left on there .. you can see it eating into the gloss. and has to be buffed out. would rather avoid having to buff again ... teflon is that way forward for me .. as over winter, I dont get much opportunity to clean the car at all ...
  23. Not sure yet, its just all going under a budget I have set for them ... will let you know though later in the week.
