Thanks fellas .. Have sprayed it on the main BMW websites ... feel free to repost it anywhere. I have dropped speedhunters a line, not sure if theyre interested or not. Its really been awesome being involved with filming this thing. I had a quite chuckle that it didnt draw as much of a crowd as the BMW museum 2.3 litre DTM car. People would of been shocked if they stopped and read its history. Also, look out for the Steve Soper sister car floating around some time soon lucky ole NZ we are.

Your DME still thinks its auto. There are two things here. Coding the DME to tell it to ignore automatic gearbox states Flashing the DME to be a manual DME (includes automatic gearbox idle/load adjustment removal)

Thanks for the review! I think its probably more designed for inter contential country hopping that track driving. Which in my view probably makes it a better car for day to day than the M other cars. I agree totally with you about hampton track driving. Its a track thats suited more to smaller torquer cars.

Ah not the one im thinking though. I have seen your car around a few years ago. have a look in the for sale section for wheels. There are a couple of members who rebuild them. Theyre getting on the expensive side.

Do you live 'around' forrest hill ?

Interesting. I will say im using z3 mcoupe rear trailing arms, They stick out a little bit more. So I run a e36 (et38) offset and its perfect. I'll check with the road wheels/tires tonight on that spot and reply back. Theyre a et30 @ 8.5 inch. Painted on tires however with those

What model calipers did you use? it doesnt sound right to me. I had a problem with shimming which I found out the hard way by warping a set of rotors. A lot of people bag wilwood. I think a lot of it is because of lack of attention to detail on the install. Setting your caliper depths and side shimming correctly. One thing I did find better is going to a performance friction pad.

hmmm I beg to differ Here is mine with 17x9 Dunlop D14 240/625r17 .. still have another inch and a bit between the inner tire and the shock, I have offset top mounts to give 1/3's of an inch extra. Mild gaurd roll. Not exactly paint on tires either.
-
the pre FL rear arch can handle 10 inch if the right offsets and use of a shock inset top mount. I'm on 18x8.5 road and 17x9 race. What are you trying to do ?
-
You can have your shocks shortened and revalved to your spring rates if theyre not adjustible. You shouldnt need more than about 700 for a road car. Your shocks dampering could be the problem ?
