  1. I guess this counts as a project so may as well introduce it here. Recently picked up this 1986 E30 Tech 1 Coupe in the hopes of getting it back on the road. Spent the first couple weeks at the Compliance, then went off to the panel beaters for a few small bits and pieces and to get it's engineer's cert. Finally got it back last weekend and it's in the process of being pieced back together to pass compliance. It's a manual running a M20 2.7L stroked with an 885 head. Chipped with a LSD sitting on Bilsteins+Dobinson Springs. Currently sitting at around 210hp at the crank. Here it is in it's current state: After it's all back together and on the road, we have a lot of plans for it but I'll update as I go along.
  2. 1987 BMW 318i - $4,000 ONO - Auckland. We've owned it for 4+ years and it never gets driven, and was sitting around in a garage for many years before that when we got it shipped up from Christchurch! Genuine low 122,000km's! Body is straight in Lapisblua colour (could use a good cut and polish though), no rust, Rare Jimmy Hill front lip. New WOF/Reg Tidy interior with a few wear marks on the drivers seat. Aftermarket Stereo and alarm. Dash has been refurbished. Runs well. Automatic. Has had fairly recent fuel filter, oil filter replacement. 14" basketweaves with all centercaps. Negatives is the central locking currently isn't working (very common problem). Fuel pump is a bit noisy too but nothing to worry about. Looking for around $4,000ono. Would be a great base for a project, just needs to be lowered a little bit!

    E30 Facelift Coupe

Depends on what your idea of cheap is... I'm happy to pay 7k+ or more for if it ticks all the boxes. As mentioned before, it depends on the car...

    E30 Facelift Coupe

Depends on the car. After anything from a decent running car, to just a rolling shell. Feel free to post up what you have.
  8. I'm looking to buy a cheap E30 facelift Coupe for a project for work. No rust and fairly straight although will be getting new guards/paint work. Prefer a manual 325 but will settle for a cheap auto if I have to. Interior will be all stripped out so doesn't matter if it's a bit rough. As long as it's mechanically sound without rust, I'll be interested.
  9. Anyone have a good condition diamondschwartz front right (drivers side) guard for a 1989 E30 Sedan for sale? Preferably Auckland area but travelling down to Taupo over the weekend if you're anywhere along the way. Let me know your price, and preferably a pic.
  10. Looking forward to getting mine!
  11. Sorry for the bit of a bump but I've only just seen this. I've already spoken to you Amber-Leigh but for everyone else, I'm the series co-ordinator for the NZ Superlap Series so I'll point out a few things. NZ Superlap Series has classes for everyone, ranging from Street (limited mods/road cars), to Pro Street (highly modified road cars) and Pro Open (unlimited mods/no wof or reg needed/but needs a cage). It doesn't matter what class you're in, you'll be grouped with cars running similar times to you so you shouldn't catch up to anyone or have anyone catch up to you. In those groups, you'll be stagged out onto the track with usually around 5 second gap with the fastest cars out first. This means you wont have the risk of anyone crashing into you as it's not door to door racing. At the end of the weekend, fastest 3 times in each class get awards. While some to take it very seriously, most are just out there to have some fun and to beat your own laptimes. We've had cars ranging from standard daily drivers (I even race my fairly standard E30 in street class when I have time). We also have a practise session first which is great to learn some lines as you'll be following fastest cars around. Not sure if it was the same series. Only silvia I've had is a regular. Our series is one of the cheapest motorsport series in the country. We run along side the Rotary Class, Honda Cup, Formula Libre and Superkarts and our entry fees are less than half what theirs are, while running more track time then they do. Next round for us is on the 1st March at Taupo. For more information on the series, get in contact with me, or check out our facebook page. www.facebook.com/nzsuperlap
  12. Your car looked nice too. Makes me want to stick my tech2 spoiler back on! Had to speed up to have a look at yours without missing my offramp haha.
  13. So had a productive weekend. New slotted brake rotors, pads, painted calipers, rolled rear guards more, modified front inner guards, and plastidipped wheels. I'm pretty happy with the results. Thoughts on the new setup? Next step, service then sway/strut upgrades.
  14. Hi guys, A little project I do on the side is fully customised racewear and Teamwear. We've done work for many of NZ and Australia's top Drift and Drag teams, as well as stock cars, jetsprint and much more. The racing season isn't too far away so now is the perfect time to get in touch with us if you want a new look for the coming season. I also do complimentary designing in-house. Racesuits: Our embroided racesuits start from 1 layer (casual track days) to 7 layers (world's fastest drag cars) and are all SFI approved. We can also do sublimated racesuits (1-2 layers) which are great for track days and events where you don't need an SFI approved suit, or can combine with our SFI approved underlay to add an extra layer. Sublimated racesuits are also waterproof so it's prefered for all the jetsprint teams we've done. Racesuits start from $600 complete and sent to your door. Gloves/Boots: We can also customise and supply racing boots and gloves to match your custom racesuit. These are also SFI approved. Undergarments: We can also supply all undergarments, balaclavas, socks etc, all SFI approved. We are also one of the few that can supply these in black colours, as natural and white get dirty so quickly. Teamwear: If you can wear it, chances are, we can make it. All our teamwear is custom designed and sublimated to suit your team. Anything from Crew shirts, Tshirts, Jackets (windbreakers, cadura puffer etc), Hoodies and singlets to name a few. Not only that but we can also do any sort of sports uniforms (Rugby, Netball, Basketball etc). Crew shirts start from $89 complete with a minimum order of 5. For more details on what we can do and about any of our products, check out our website here: http://customshirts.co.nz/ Or send me an email: kaz@customshirts.co.nz Admin, let me know if this isn't allowed.
  15. Spotted these, along with many others at the 2014 Mothers Chrome Expression Session over the weekend.
  16. Right, so been meaning to do this for a while, but finally got the chance to test it out on the track before I go about spending money on it. Went pretty good, but gave me plenty of ideas on what to change. First up, Bilstein racing shocks and brake upgrades (as mine got fried over the weekend). Sway bars, Strut braces and CAI upgrades also coming soon, with a full engine conversion hopefully in early next year. Haven't decided on exactly what engine yet so will see what's available. I will be competing in the 2014-2015 NZ Superlap Series Street Class. Photos from 2014 Mothers Chrome Expression Session.
  17. Yeah they're on my watch list, both his front strut and rear sway bars. If I don't have any luck finding anything a bit cheaper, I'll just buy them.
  18. Hi guys, I'm after a few bits for my E30 before I take it on a couple track days. All of these to suit a 4 door 1989 325i. Aftermarket Cold Air Intake + Heatsheild to suit a m20b25. Aftermarket Front + Rear Sway Bars. Strut brace. New or good condition second hand is fine. Just looking to see what's around here before I try my luck with Ebay. Haven't been able to find any Heatsheilds though. Please include photos if you have any of these.

    E30 Parts

Hi guys, After a few bits and pieces for my E30. Let me know what you have and what price. Preferably around Auckland. To suit a 1989 325i. > Under steering wheel panel. > Boot spoiler lip. > Blower Fan Motor. > Might be a bit of a long shot, but also after the panel/carpet to go behind the rear seats in the boot, which the hole for the ski compartment.
  20. Spotted [ E36 ] this morning in town.
  21. Thanks for that. Just to confirm, the speedo is around 160,000 km's or miles?
  22. How many KM's/Miles on the Speedo? Also price on that? Could be keen. Would you sell just the Blower motor seperately?
  23. As per forum rules, what sort of price are you after?
  24. Back on topic, looks like it's got a small oil leak, otherwise it's very tidy (could do with a good wash and cut and polish though). Going to be off to the auctions on Wednesday.
  25. I use this one. Seems to work the easiest, although you need to sign up for an account now I think. http://www.rubmw.ru/vincode/eng/
