Yup Fiat Club... Oh well next time then... I"ve signed up for the sainsbury road event also.. and will look at doing kemp road also next month... I've manage to score a trailer and dad's explorer so no driving down in the racecar for me... = less likely to get a ticket...

Yup Yup... Cam if your bored next weekend and want to come play pit crew your more than welcome... So once the hydro lifters, Aftermarket ECU, MAP sensor, and ITB go in hehehe... and maybe 8000rpm it should be alot of fun... but then thats probably about 5+ grand away.. min... but it all will be done!

2.7hp gain in power and more power over most of the rev range... But it looks like it's just about at peaked out now at the limiter...

4 wheel brake dyno? get them to drive the car out turn it around and run the front wheels only on the front rollers... then reverse out, turn around and run the rear tyres on the front rollers... i've see this happen before for a low rx7

Mines 5 or 6mm alloy one... i wouldn't bother with the holes if anything not drilling holes works as undercar plating and improves the drag co-efficent = more speed.... Depending on how it's designed, if you where to get all high tech with it you could create it so it creates a low pressure system in the engine bay and when moving the hot engine bay air will get get sucked out of the engine bay by the passing hot air...

You can buy a torx set like you can an allen key set from repco or supercheap for something like $25 i can't remember but i think the BMW seats are also held in with Torx screws also... I know MLM used my Torx socket set for something to do with his seats/engine...

typically power steering racks have a better lock to lock ratio than non-power steering racks. It's very common for people to replace non-power steering racks with power steering racks that have the ports blocked off so they arn't fighting the fuild in the lines and in the pump when turning the wheel as you would get if you where to jsut remove the belt. Keep the power steering rack, block off the ports, remove the hoses, loop the pump curcits if you need to keep the pump for what ever reasons. Or remove the pump... What is the differance in the rack ratios? i know with the pugs it's a fair differance with something like 3.6 for non power steering and 3.2 for power steering... or something like that... i can't remember exactly... the quaife manual rack is 2.7 lock to lock...

Wouldn't it be ok, if the second hand engine is in OK condition allowing enough time for the "race engine" to be rebuilt and then inserted into the car. The then second hand engine can then be rebuilt as a full race spec engine knowing that there is more time as the other engine is good for awhile...
