Hahaha I heard that woman too, approx 12.30pm on sunday i was driving towards auckland through the tunnel and gave it heaps to hear the V8 burble, had my window down and heard some woman over the speakers saying something, I couldn't quite catch it but i said to the missus, "what the f**k is the point in that, no-one is ever going to be able to hear it" 500 metres after i'd exited the tunnel I saw you fly past in the other direction Ross, I must have woken her up for you! on another note i used the 0800 number to pay, it was painlessly easy, cost no extra and took less than a minute, all those people queuing at the BP station and toll booths are idiots! the next question is though .... will i receive a letter about my german plates?

terrible photos to make a proper judgment, first impressions say ugly to me but i won't write it off yet. Like the X6 it might grow on me.

I think it was a well written article, some very wise words. If only the people up top were smart enough to understand. The writer is someone i'd love to have a beer with.

you can fit any of the pistons into the pre f/l within the rules, however the lower compression pistons will not be the best choice. As far as I am aware there are higher compression pistons than the 9:4 but they are only legal in pre f/l cars.

Happy Birthday Em, have a good one! Jug and a burger sounds like a good idea

Thanks for all the birthday wishes guys and girls! I am well hung over from my BYO at the local indian restaurant (Chand) last night. I just got back from top gear live, which was totally awesome! And now I am going to bed for some recovery sleep! good evening

I am hugely disappointed with the service from x-net. It's meant to be ADSL2 as fast as the line can handle and it is crap, really crap. half an hour wait time to speak to anyone there, no real answers to our problems. The VOIP line is terrible! It might be something to do with the browns bay exchange being upgraded, but nonetheless, very disappointed. Anyone else having problems?

grab one for a good price now because in less than a decade they will be collectibles and demand a much higher price tag, as buyers are more willing to pay to get "what they have always wanted". The BMW E30 M3 remains one of the most influencial cars in the history of motorsport and motorvehicle production engineering. Anyone selling one now, my heart goes to them as they are obviously in some kind of financial trouble or newly married to have to sell it. I can only see prices appreciating and If i won lotto or even instant kiwi, you know what the first thing I would buy would be! I think I need to take a trip to Napier soon, my E30 M3 urge is back andI need to touch a proper one.

I'm very excite! an extra 82HP for 6.5 seconds every lap!!!!! holy crap. How does it work?

probably the way you have wired it, check the spade connectors are on properly, they often come loose.

Some things to fix on my girlfriends E36 318is, I havent actually looked at the car yet but have a couple of quick questions. 1. E36 front inner ball joint, failed a WOF because of play. Do I replace the whole arm or just the ball joint? what cost can I expect to pay for parts (new) and is it an easy job with the right tools? 2. E36 Brake Master Cylinder, failed a WOF because it is apparently leaking (their diagnosis was because the paint on the master cylinder is flaking it is therefore leaking?? I find this weird because the brakes are fine ... thoughts??

if you are getting a student allowance then get living costs aswell ($150/week), you have to pay these back though. get a part time job - preferably cash under the table start a business ... baby sit ? No. 1 piece of advice - Live to a budget, don't get a credit card, if you have one chop it up.
-
Power vs reliability and a whole bunch of other factors I would have thought ... a thick one for lower compression, a thin one for higher compression ... Some quite complex maths/physics will help you make the decision aye. Perhaps Glen - E30-323ti could give some advice??

by rotating the distributor and using a timing light.

oem rotors are the safe option but there are some good aftermarket ones around. I use znoelli slotted rotors in the race car and they have been pretty good, i'd recommend them, they are cheap too. ($60 ea from BNT). For a standard E30 there is no need to spend any more than that on rotors. It's the pads that you have to get right, OEM is the only option IMO, unless you use an expensive aftermarket pad, and even sometimes they squeal. Ferodo Excels aren't to bad and are cheap .... just some thoughts
-
change your pads. I'd put money on it being the brake pads, worn or not.

keep your fluids up, vitamin c, lemon & honey drinks with a shot of whiskey, sleep. not much else you can do really, the day and night pills are just strong decongestants, the morning ones contain psuedo-ephidrine to keep you awake and buzzing during the day and the night ones make you sleepy so that you get a good rest. All they do is get you through a cold with less discomfort and inconvenience, it's the sleep and the vitamins that actually help fight the cold.

yeah check fuses , that's about all I've done. Could it be missing a relay?

E36 318is - M44 Purchased the car, all the air con was hooked up but the belt was missing. hooked up a new belt. Air con isn't working looking closely at the air-con pump it doesn't look like the internals are spinning, but that may just be my misjudgment. the air con light on the control panel comes on but perhaps it doesn't trigger the pump to engage?? How do i go about trouble shooting this and getting the air con up and running! damn it is hot!!

White would be my colour of choice, not matt though. a good white with silver pearl is where it's at.
