For what its worth I had a noise that was similar after the m50 went into the E30 it turned out the intake manifold would touch the brake booster at certain revs. Also, after removing some sound deadening in the E30 there is no way i would have been able to re-use it but e36 stuff might be different? Good luck - I know that I enjoyed driving my car 100x more once that noise/vibration was gone

Yeah its the sa OEM one with e28 mounts - The bar itself fit fine just the shield needed slight reshape. (big **** off hammer and heat fixed that) I get the odd scrape on the 15's - When it was resprayed I had the guards rolled and could run a wider 16, no rubbing and don't remember ever hitting the sump guard.

Has cert and ECU from the e34 the motor was pulled from

87 VL - 3L manual RWD!! bought from a newspaper sight unseen. Exceeded all expectations, it was as new condition single owner etc - old mate was genuinely excited it was my first car and sold it too me way too cheap & gave it to me with a full tank of gas, new wiper blades, year rego new wof etc etc - Good bugger. looked the same as this when I got it - added mags and boom boom in the boot Uploaded with ImageShack.com

I'll be watching this with interest. Ive also read alot about the RX7 setup that Andy mentioned - more here All new brake kits I've priced up (as mad as they'd be) seem a bit over the top for my requirements

From the dealer $25 + gst - no light (I think) it was taking ages for them to confirm and it wasn't important enough to hang around and find out, I'll know when I pick it up in a few weeks.

Where abouts did you go for the boot? We've got a few options locally IMO - keep it stock. looks good, easily maintained and preformance will be comparitable to any entry level aftermarket solution. Save those pennies for go fast or bling bling mods...

Welcome - Good too see another e30 in tga! There are a surprising amount of tidy ones around town but don't see many of them on here (not that I've seen anyway) I'll keep an eye out for a project thread.
