  1. Ummmmm yes. Your best bet might be to find a recaro interior & pay to have it redone in houndstooth. They are around, but about as common as black leather Vader seats for an E36. Hope you've got deep pockets, BTW
  2. NIce work on the ti - can the next one have an S50B32 shoehorned in the engine bay please? thanks!
  3. Sentiments shared by everyone in the company except the guy that made the threat last night and his employment. One of the Senior techs (16+ years service) actually shed tears of laughter once he found out how certain members of management were handling the situation..... and then offered to give a reference on my behalf for the current job application I hate internal politics!!
  4. Those that have had constructive input, thanks very much for your thoughts. I'm in the process of seeking professional advice on the matter, and as for the outcome I'll have to wait and see
  5. Again, I'm not asking for judgement on what I did. Apologies have been made and the offer to resign was tabled, and instantly rejected by my employer. My original question, which still stands, is are they legally able to pursue recovery of penalties levied by the client. Please, reserve your personal judgments to yourselves. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but not necessarily to share them.
  6. Thanks, reckon there's enough food for though
  7. I saw a rat with an overpriced hairdo....dunno 'bout a dog
  8. If you do change the color for gods sake do the entire car. So sick of seeing otherwise tidy paint jobs an cars to discover they couldn't be arsed painting the engine bay & all the other areas you see when you open the car up. +1 on CalypsoRot Metallic though!
  9. Yup, having had a radiator crap itself all over my shed floor a new one is advisable! Redline do an all alloy unit that I've had in my car for 2+ years now with no issues, just make sure it's completely isolated from earth otherwise the ally will corrode via electrolysis (have I used the right word??) Just use all factory rubber bushings when installing. Cheaper than a plastic tanked one too. Inspect all hoses with a careful eye & get the heater tap seen to. If it hasn't yet failed, it will
  10. Were it on M-Pars instead of (possibly) M6 copies I'd say 8k-ish given current pricing on other cars. Mileage is rather low which could command a premium IF the right buyer were to appear. Tough one to work out!
  11. Interesting the S14 produces near identical figures to the M50B25, though I imagine with less weight and a freer revving motor. ALMOST a shame this isn't going into a road car Love it. Where the hell would you find parts if the worst happened?
  12. Manual & 2.7 stroker kit! Looks nice man
  13. Good luck mate, bout as common as rocking horse poop!
  14. What would you be asking for front & rear seats with door cards?
  15. On the topic of OEM vs. dodgy knock-offs, who are the OEM suppliers to BMW? Naturally I'm aware of BBS but who else does 'em? I did have a quick peek at the 17s on my car but couldn't spot anything obvious through the years of brake dust.
  16. Would a Lambo engine start after it had been rolled?
  17. After driving on them a bit more I'd describe the feedback as ever so slightly 'stiffer' than the standard non M-sport coils. Certainly a lot closer to terra firma, not measures 125mm to lowest part of chassis. I'm balancing that against rubbish King springs et al. that I've used on other cars in past years. The FS thread for the kit is here http://bimmersport.co.nz/topic/44256-e36-6cyl-bilstein-suspension-kit/ TBH I didn't search the part numbers through Eibach when I bought them so there is a chance (Though I suspect unlikely) they could be 4 cyl items. Which would suck really The front end has come back up a little (15mm ish?) since the manual swap was finished off, so that should assist some. The shocks could also possibly need a refurb, having said that they're a major improvement on the knackered stock items that got pulled out! Original struts did not return at all once the shock was depressed. Plus the rattling sounds made when shaken suggested they'd been full of air instead of fluid for quite some time Would like to figure this one out, just not really in a position to buy more springs, the gearbox & bits ate most of my monies!
  18. Finished lowering it, fitted the gearknob and observed the LSD in action. Job done
  19. Should've known you'd have something stashed away '94 E36 325i. Not too worried about the rpm at idle, just want to avoid the rev flare on gearchanges. I can see that will annoy the hell outta me. Thanks Brent
  20. Thought you'd say that Right, now to find someone that can teach me how to code!
  21. Kickass! Don't suppose you'd be keen to sell the ECU?
  22. Pretty much at the re-assembly point now. LSD & DS are in & torqued, will be collecting shifter bushing from Brent tomorrow. Then its hook up reverse lights, re-install exhaust, heatshields, front chassis brace, interior and airbox. And then do a monster skid.
  23. Actually that would be useful I know you sent it to me but I'm damned if I know what became of it
