  1. Its a slip - on style fitting. Just need a 75mm band clamp to secure to your existing exhaust * Assuming you're starting with a 540i. Not an E36 (dammit!!)
  2. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=575999367 Could be a challenge? Complete minus motor apparently

    3.7?

Cost me $40 to get one shipped up from Dunedin earlier this month. Toll or Mainfreight will be the go
  4. You're probably more likely to find rocking horse poo under the xmas tree than a manual E39 estate. Best bet would be to convert one yourself. There was a manual 528 on tardme http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/...n-572986721.htm that would do the trick as a donor I suspect. Expensive way of doing it but realistically cheaper than importing ( if that's even possible now). Plenty in the UK but you'd probably be bringing in a car that's only good as a donor. Buuuuuuut, you'd likely find a 540i wagon... now that'd be a project worth tackling
  5. Would smell a lot better too!! Just had a look on youtube, I see why people make a fuss about these mufflers now. Makes me want to get the car to fit the muffler....drool!
  6. Aww c'mon! Shiny exhausts are way better investments than toilets! All good mate
  7. Lol, if you're worried about fuel consumption, buy a hybrid
  8. Ummmmmm...... huh??? In what universe is a 2 litre n/a superior to a 4.4l V8??
  9. Interesting is right. Never thought I'd see BMW sponsoring a drift anything, let alone a record attempt. Wonder how much of a discount that poor M5 will be sold at afterwards

    E39 / E36

Was thinking staying with OEM parts would create fewer hassles with installation. E46 330i brakes it is then
  11. Yeah, was thinking it could be a bit of a squeeze. Haven't yet had a chance to have a look, hopefully get under there after work tonight

    E39 / E36

Have been wondering lately if E39 V8 front rotors & calipers will mate up with E36 hubs & hydraulic plumbing. Toying with the idea of a few engine tweaks & would like the extra peace of mind that comes with an extra 38mm of rotor face. Is this gonna mess with the wheel offset in any way? Will the calipers even bolt up to the 3 series mounts? Would it just be easier to source E46 330 parts instead? TIA
  13. Wow, that looks fantastic!
  14. Just given it a quick going over with the 3M pads. Other than tar spots it looks like it's near new. Again, indications of value please lads
  15. http://www.eisenmann.co.uk/product/product...no=221&Opt= Try this. What ya reckon it's worth man?
  16. Hi guys. Have scored a stainless rear Eisenmann muffler for an E39 540i from a friend that had it sitting about in his shed for ages. Obviously it won't be a straight bolt up fit to the 325i, but will it be able to be modified to accommodate the twin pipe entry? Or failing that, would anyone here be interested in it? Looking at the Eisenmann Linky website they got for 800 pound (!!) new, does anyone have an idea what might be a fair price for it? TIA
  17. Really tidy looking black E30 coupe, rego KART** something or other, bimmersport logo on the rear screen. Parked on the side of the road in a well-heeled Ellerslie street... to whom does it belong?
  18. Cloth front seats with what almost looks like vinyl recovered interior. Urgh! Still, Seems the owner has gone to the effort of either sourcing a genuine (?) steering wheel & gearknob or at least hunted down the badges. Mug wheels is right!!
  19. Easier & better just to ask Glenn to do it. Wheel bearings are a poo job at the best of times, even worse if ya get them wrong & have to start again from scratch. $250 is good considering all the skin & blood you get to keep Just my 2c
  20. I call dibs if they haven't already been snapped up!
  21. Pretty sure it's been for sale for a hell of a long time too - +/- 3 (?) years IIRC?
