I have a non-descript average office chair with what I guess is a lovely 80's or early 90's fabric on it, it is semi stuffed and if I recline, it reclines a too far back (I guess it has a stuffed spring or somesuch) - just right for sleeping...whoops I mean being deep in thought!! I have a short attention span anyway, and can't sit for too long in one go anyway so it doesn't bother me, if I want another one, I would wander around the building and nick someone elses. Edit...I actually had a closer look at my chair this morning - it is not stuffed at all, and one quick movement of one lever, and the back was suddenly fixed. In fact my chair is damned comfortable upon closer inspection and evaluation, and now that I have taken the time to get it "set up" just right for me. Cheers Grant

I thought that it was an excellent night (I was at Saturday night's concert), and that AK did a pretty good job considering he was pretty sick with Bronchial Pneumonia. The other three more than made up for it. They were phenominal, Flea was amazing. I was pretty happy with the set list - was a good mixture of Stadium Arcadium and earlier stuff. We were seated near the front of the seated area, right in the middle and the sound was pretty good there. The Vector arena as a whole is pretty good. Plenty of toilets, entrances to various area, plenty of food/drink outlets, and easy to get into and out of. Cheers Grant

You can also get the 6 speed 3.2 in a 4 door sedan here too. A big problem with the 6 speed gearbox, is the ramming it into the wrong gear...can't remember off the top of my head, but it something like 4th to 1st instead of 4th to 3rd (or somesuch). This is a driver problem rather than a gearbox problem. Cheers Grant

If we are going to bag Pitstop - let me get my story in too about Pitstop East Tamaki. When I was working out there last year, near Pitstop, I dropped my car in for a service (the ET branch of the BM Workshop was not open yet). Firstly they tried ripping me off and saying that an E36 oil filter cost $45 more than a standard screw on one, oh and they tried to charge me $25 to reset the service lights....they were soon put in their place. Then after the service I drove home, then drove back to work the next day. The coolant light came on partway. I got to work, opened the bonnet and low and behold there is coolant everywhere. Drove back to pitstop ET, said look here why do I now have coolant everywhere. They said "no idea, we never touched anything near the radiator, and only checked the coolant level visually through the plastic". I drove back to work, let the car cool down and then rechecked...the radiator cap was cross threaded, and therefore not sealing (and this is where the coolant was coming out of). After taking it off, and replacing the lost coolant, and removing the coolant from everywhere (all in my suit and tie that day), everything was fine. Pitsop ET then still maintain that they never took the cap off....so I guess it must have taken itself off, and then cross threaded itself putting itself back on. You would think that a simple service would be impossible to muck up. Thank god I am now within spitting distance of the BM Workshop again, so I can get these things done properly. Edit...I have had a couple of small bits of work carried out at Pitstop Newmarket, and they did a good job.

Do you twits (outside of Bravo...who is at least doing this properly) know what a tender is? Nath wants you to tender for the parts, so that means not asking for a price...you name what you are prepared to pay. Cheers Grant

I have recently set up my own Project Consultancy (specialising in consulting to holders of large portfolios of assets - predominantly property assets), and have straight away had 4 good long term contracts in place, that see me not having the worry of having to "hunt out the next job". However, it is my aim that by August to only work 4 days a week, in order to spend as much time as possible with the young fella, and allow Brook to go back to work part time (without having to put Ash into daycare). However, as I have so much work on, I can't really see me being able to cut back to only 4 days a week, but at least the mortgage is getting paid, and being your own boss can't be beaten. One Hot Minute doesn't count as a real Red Hot Chili Peppers album (notice the correct spelling of Chili......) You are right...music is my aeroplane is a low point, hence the reason they don't play any songs off One Hot Minute at any of their concerts. Cheers Grant

You are right, they have evolved a lot. In a good way too IMO, although I am a fan of all their music, the old stuff, as well as the newer stuff. I have Freaky Styley cranking as I type this. There will never be any topping BSSM - those were the days...first year at Uni.... I can't wait for the concert. Cheers Grant

The guy swapped it for a Polo GTi.....why, I'll never know. Cheers Grant

I have been driving for 18 years, and have never had a flat tyre. I had a slow leaking tyre once, but never a flat tyre or puncture. Cheers Grant

Very nice, congratulations. Hope it all works out well for you. I really like that attitude - one I am warming too more and more. If Brook, Ash and I are ever needing to stay in Taupo, you will be the first port of call. Cheers Grant
