  1. I think you really meant Police officer.Keep the driving lights/foglights, unless you need the additional holes linked to ducting to keep your brakes cool. Cheers

    need help asap

Check that the plug in the side of the AFM is plugged in properly, also if it is, give the terminals a clean and try starting the car again. The check oil light has a sensor that makes the light come on when it is only a little bit down, so don't worry about it (I assume you are talking about the check oil light in the overhead panel). If it is the oil light in the main dash, then worry...take it to a mechanic as quickly as possible and get it checked out. Cheers

    OMFG

I'm sure that he has insurance. These things happen, don't get uptight about it, i'm sure it will be sorted. I can guarantee that before your days are done you will have an accident of some kind (even a minor one) that you cause. sh*t happens, sort it out and move on. Cheers

    Spotted

I thought I pretty much new all of the E30 M3's around but last week saw an absolute minter on Newton Road (near Symonds Street). It was black with a personalised plate (that for the owners privacy I won't put here). Amazing, there are a few good ones that appear out of the woodwork from time to time. I have never had the pleasure of seeing a Sport Evo, nice spotting. Cheers
  7. My advice, don't go for anything too pratty (i.e. like most of your joking plates). You just look like a twat. But then I'm old and pretty conservative so don't listen to me. Cheers

    1994 BMW 320i

You should see my work emails, I guess I am a creature of habit, still it beats things like 'Kindest Regards' etc...Cheers
  9. It also has to meet NZ's Frontal Impact standards, which, by the look of it it doesn't (there does not appear to be an air bag in that steering wheel). This means that it has to have both driver and passenger side air bags. This is where the 20 year period comes into play. Cheers

Those are Alpina's, you don't cover any part of them with BMW logos Ryan, for 2 seconds I was ready to sneak over to your house and nick those Alpinas. Cheers

    ECU's

They will only give that kind of HP increase in conjunction with a lot of other modifications at the same time (i.e. intake, headers, exhaust etc). From a simple replacement performance chip you will only get a very small increase in HP if that is all you are doing. Cheers
  12. not at all, just you will have to put it on a trailer to get it to the track and back.Cheers

    Happy Birthday Emma

Come on Sam, there is a time and a place for everything. That is a bit uncalled for.Cheers
  14. Hi Martyn There is more to it than the LHD issue, as that can be worked around. It won't meet NZ's frontal impact standards (i.e. have driver and passenger side airbag), so it can't be registered until it is 20 years old. Also, once it is 20 years old, you will have to export it and reimport it as a 'fresh' import. Cheers
  15. Happy Birthday to our youngest (I think) member. Hope you have a great day and are spoiled and lavished with lots of great presents. Ahhhhh to be 14 again... Cheers
  16. I don't know why they had to ruin it by having all of that writing on the side skirts. Otherwise it is a very nice car (especially the engine and the addition of the supercharger), the interior is a bit bling for me, but hey whatever floats your boat. Cheers

  19. MartynI certainly don't see your post as criticism at all, and I think that you have made some really good and valid points. Cheers

    Pics of my Ride

You really are an offensive twit aren't you.Cheers
  21. Bravo, you have some excellent points in your previous thread, and most of them we have looked into previously, here is my reaponse (bear in mind that this is not necessarily the view of the other mods, and I hope that they contribute as well, and I'm sure that they will). What you have proposed means a lot of extra work for the admins etc, we have looked into this in the past. The admins are all busy people and can only give amall amounts of time to the administration of this site. The addition of sponsors etc is just another addition that would involve more time and more formal management(we have looked into this in the past, and may again in the future). Also, we know that when push comes to shove and we try and enforce the payment of membership fees, the actual active members would reduce a lot. While everyone will say "Yeah I'm happy to pay" at the end of the day it will be like getting blood from a stone. As a national committee member of the BMWCC (as is Andrew) we have discussed a partnership between (and even amalgamating) this foum and the car club website, however this will not proceed, as this is pretty unregulated and the BMWCC has to be very careful with what it is linked too because ofthe required support of BMW NZ and the International Council. At present Bimmersprt has an excellent relationship with the BMWCC and it is the best interests of both to still operate independently (with people like Andrew and I that cross over into both). This is not only in the Auckland region, but also in the Wellington Region where the likes of Tim (Bumpstop325) and Carl a really actively involved in both, and infact I see they are holding joint events (like the upcoming Bimmersport v BMW CC v Porsche CC Show N Shine). Cheers
  22. Martyn I'll think you'll find that they are locked because we can see them turning into stupid pointless debates, where the discussion is far from constructive (We, the moderators, have seen this happen time and time again, and it really degrades the whole forum). These would be left open if the responses were going to be constuctive, but unfortunately there is an element of this forum who don't have the grey matter or ability to post opinions constructively or have reasoned and educated debates. The 'Anything Goes' is within reason, sure, in an ideal world it would really be 'Anything Goes' but unfotunately we have only limited control about what gets posted on here so we do have to stamp down on potential 'troublesome' threads before mountains are made out of molehills. For this issue, I suggest that periodically Andrew post a reminder that financial support of the running of this site would be appreciated (as it is a donation), hopefully that might spur a few people into action and cough up with some money. Andrew et al, your thoughts? Cheers
  23. no worries, i'll make sure I don't tape over it.Cheers
  24. Happy Birthday Big Fella Hope you have a great day and enjoy a beer or two. Cheers
